I had a box of Sumo's a few years ago. They were the hardest tips I have ever seen. I gave them away...gladly. They were like a piece of red brick, good only, maybe, for a break cue. Marcus...are you thinking of using Sumo as your playing tip? Yikes! WB natural water buffalo are way better IMO.

Martin, I agree with you, but the Alabama boys back home love playing with these things. Ever since someone found out that Scotty (Townsend) was playing with a Sumo, all the players had to have them. I guess the only thing keeping them from playing as good as he does was the tip...........

The Sumo tip is the standard tip for Mike Bender.
Had them on my shafts until I had them replaced (tried them for about 10 months).
Just too hard for me but I bet lots of folks with new Benders are still stroking away with the original tips.

I love the way the Sumos play- only problem is they would often loose chunks when I'd miscue. I'd end up replacing them every 2-4 weeks. They are cheap tho...

Some Of My Local Bar Players Love Em, So I Figured I'd Get Some. I Play With A Slow Morri.

I am like you in this respect...I like the slow or softer tips. I don't have the discipline it takes to maintain a hard tip, so I will miscue with them.
