These tip do not come in different hardness, they are basically a Med-Hard non-layered tip. However, I have a Durometer and test all my tips before installation on a customers cue. I have found that out of any given box of tips the Hardness can range from 80-95 for hardness. Which translates to tips that are medium, medium hard, and hard in the same box.

If you buy a box of these tips, (50 per Box) dont pay more $30 or you have paid too much.

Take care

I've installed quite a few Triangle tips on cues and i've found the tips to be very inconsistent from the same box just as your hardness test showed. One day it took 3 different tips before I got one installed that was acceptable.

I like Triangle tips and Meuller's is a good place to buy a single box ( $31.95 plus shipping for 1-2 boxes - http://www.poolndarts.com/p-3247-Triangle-Tips-mm/ ) .

WOW. That's some serious inconsistency there. I hit with a SW that had one on it and i loved it....but sounds like if i tried the other shaft (Both stock tips from SW) it may have been a different story. I shot with LePro's from 90 to 98-99 (Talk about a crap shoot there...box of 50...you might get 15 very good ones, and you couldn't tell til you installed and hit with it) Then switched to Original Moori's and liked them alot. Stopped playing for a while and when i came back (Late 05) the moori's had changed and not for the better, although i haven't tried the newest ones yet gen 3.5 i believe they're called. I've tried the Kamui's (a couple were solid and a couple had delam issues) and the wizards (good but...not great) so my search continues. What do you recommend craig based on what i have said so far? Thanks in advance.

PM your address to me

I will send you some triangle tips. I like them alot. I like the 15 mm version best but they aren't available to the public.
Nick :)

Snipers really are like the old Moori's.

I have heard this but also that they glaze over fairly quick (High maintenence) and unfortunately they are blue (The darker the better for me) Thanks for the opinion though:cool:

If your interested in some Sniper's I can hook you up with some at a great price !
As far as the blue goes you can get a brown furniture marker and paint the edge before you burnish the tip !
Let me know if your interested ?
