I'm looking to find a Hightower Deluxe with accessories or a metal lathe large enough to build cues on!

Metal lathes would probably need to be somewhere near the Dallas/Ft. Worth area so that I can pick them up.

If there is anything out there, just shoot me a PM and I'll get back to you as soon as I can! Thanks!

There are several in the Dallas area on Craigs list. They are all machine lathes from 12 x36 to 14x40. Some are single phase and some are three phase. The price range is $1600 to $2300. Look at the Jet. It would make a great cue lathe but its 3 phase which will require an additonal phase converter for a few hundred more.

What is your timeframe ? I will be getting a lightly used Hightower Deluxe sometime around the middle of January, a cuemaker friend is upgrading again to a Leblond metal lathe. Seems like old machinest like the repeatable perfection of heavy metal old school lathes. Leonard

What part of Dallas are you in?

Our shop is in Plano, on the East side. I would be happy to visit with you and answer any questions I can.

Craigs list is a good place, as well as Ebay.

I've been on Craigslist. The Jet is not a true listing....no one replies, I've asked to come get it with cash in hand and I cannot get a reply, phone number, or anything! As far as some of the other lathes, I've been contacting others as well....but so far nothing really has turned out.

My timeframe is basically anytime from now until I find what I need! And then I will still probably be looking for a second lathe anyway!

PM me with some details about the Deluxe and what might come with it and the price you are thinking about and we can see what happens!
