No question involved. Just thought everyone would get a chuckle out of this.

Replacing a ferrule on a Muecci. Was turning the old one off and noticed I should've reached the tennon by now. So I started twisting the ferrule to get it off and found THIS as a tennon.

This is it removed from the shaft. On top of this the dummy put it in crooked as hell so the shaft was flopping like a fish out of water.

That was the least amount of weight to get the forward balance.
The cad analysis, showed this was the best solution.

When I epoxied the tennon in the shaft..... about 1/2" below the shoulder where the tennon goes in the shaft, I could see epoxy seeping out of the shaft, you could see a pinhole on one side and a teeny tiny slit on the other side. Went to turn the new ferrule down and had a blow out. :(

Now how does it hit? Maybe he won't notice.

Dunno.... will find out tomorrow. This stick has seen it's better days, it is a hunk of junk. It belongs to the bartender at one of my local pool halls. She just bought it last night for $20 bucks. Looks like she got about what she paid for. It will hit better than it did before I got it..... but the shaft is gonna be 1" shorter, lol.

The shaft had a pretty big "gouge" in it right at the ferrule so I had already told her that the shaft may come back a tad shorter, although I wasn't counting on an inch shorter. Nevertheless she was aware of this scenario when I took the cue. For a $20 dollar Meucci she don't care.

Just cut a section off an old house cue and put a Ferrulle end "a joint" in.
Maintain standard length anyway

I've seen repairs done like this when the tenon and ferrule snap off and the owner doesn't want the shaft shortened. I would have used a 8/32 screw into a solid ferrule threaded back into the shaft.
Usually see fixes like that in big money tourneys and the player is between matches, so the player can still use the shaft he is comfortable with.
Looks like this repairman used overkill with the pin and it created a major blowout.

I went and got an old bar cue from her this morning and just gonna make her a new shaft from the bar cue.
