I came across this clip someone made at the 2007 Phillipine 9-ball Open. Seemed like your regular video clip of pool that someone made. But watch what happens at 00:37. There is a guy in a white shirt leaning against the counter. Look behind him and see what one person is doing to another person. WTF? LOL

Sometimes to explain something to some people you have to really beat it into their heads. That is all that was going on. :D

He had what was left after losing in the finals of US Open against Reed Pierce pulled out. His teeth were killing him.:D
Alex , owner of Stix Billiards, helped him get false teeth made here but Efren refuses to wear them.
Efren can't eat pork now which is good for his bursitis.

i stand corrected. i'm embarassed to have even posted that. it was never my intention to downgrade the greatest pool player who ever lived. i too hold Efren in great esteem, just check any of my previous posts regarding him.

methamphetamine causes toothloss. methamphetamine is like pot in the phillipines. methamphetamine can be used to enhance performance. that's all i have to say about that.

having spent along time in Vegas and other areas where meth is prevelant I have seen what long term meth use does to people time and time again, if your implying Efren injested enough meth to cause his dental problems, that makes it clear your credentials to assert such an accusation are lacking. Efrens dental problems appeared to be a progressive disease he suffered from for many years I have seen him many times since 85, and watched his dental condition worsen over time. I'm not saying Efren is perfect, he may have used some sort of meth or something similar on an rare occasion, but not enough to cause his dental problems-I have no knowlege he has ever used drugs and I have never seen him play like he was on any drug at all-he is a roll model to millions of people and handles that responsibility in a honerable way, nor would he have achieced his worldwide sucess in pool continously for the past 25 years-the drugs would have taken him down. Look at all the guys he beat 20 years ago they are in retirement and not competitive at Efrens level, and Efren is still going strong out there beating the world-a whole new group of up and comming players, there is no way he could have achieved this long of a veery successful career playing by sustaining his level with any kind sustained drug use, it takes along time and abuse of meth to ruin a persons teeth he would have lost his career as a pool player long before his teeth. He has dominated the sport longer than anyone and plays better than most, there isnt a player his age that can bet him and only a handful of young guys might have a chance beating him playing 9,10 ball. It aint cool to imply someone who you dont know might have undeserable habits and cast despersions on him.

i better get some green for this-please thanks, it took me along time to write it, and i'm very serious about this, pool dosent need another black eye because of jack-off's implying things about a hero in his home country, he gives his winnings to people who need the $$$, they dont come better than Efren, i aspire to be a man like Efren and I'm talking more than pool.

Try again.
Efren grew up poor.
Did not have proper nutrition and dental care when he was young.
You wouldn't believe what kind of hunger Efren went through.
He played for money early to help feed his family.
I've seen Efren play all night and believe me he did not go to the bathroom as often as the other guys.

Meth's bad for the brain too.
Try playing Efren some chess.
And ask Jay how sickening Efren's memory is.
:)
He remembers the scores, the bet, the backers, the place, etc.

methamphetamine is known as shabu here in the Philippines.
And to imply that Efren is using such is very irresponsible of you.
