WTS: several items

Got scammed !

Hi, guys,

I was the one buying his cues and got scammed, he's not taking PM anymore, I sent the money to him through paypal, but never got answers again. I took one for the team as a newbie, please be careful.

We need some security measures in the forum to prevent this from happening again.

Sorry somebody got burned by this a-hole but when I saw the part about funding a small business with this sale I knew it was bad news. I can't think of too many businesses you can start with about a thousand dollars... oh wait, how about internet scamming, dick!

Sorry you took one on the chin but the security measures here are itrader, AZ members vouching for someone, and escrow. You took a chance just like I did on my first ebay cue purchase when I ended up with a warped Falcon. It pays to ask around a bit. I hope you can recover something through PayPal.

Thanks for the heads up and sorry to hear you got fuc#ed. you sent the whole 500?

i was real close to shooting him a hundo for the hp2 shaft but something seemed fishy if you know what i mean.

Ya know it is real bad when you trust folks and the trust is greatly mistreated I have a problem but it will be corrected between us just like the Gents we are! but as for the rest of the drama,whew,,,,,,,let me off the drama train and lets get back to AZ'ing

Buyer protection

The best way to sell or buy when you don't know each other is USPS cod. The item ships priority mail, fully insured and for a minimal fee the postman collects payment in cash or check and the receiver has to sign for receipt of the item. I wouldn't do it any other way.

If the seller won't do it then they are trying to F$%k you, period.

Will the postman let you open the package and verify that it's the one you ordered...and that it's in good condition?

Prior to handing the money over?

And, if it's not...he gives you your money back, you seal the package back up...and he returns the package???

Could you please elaborate on the step by step process...

jwe711, That's the rub they could send a box of rocks!! I thought of that after using the service successfully once. As much a ebay sucks it affords a lot of buyer protection. As a seller I would never send an item to someone without payment. Escrow maybe, sounds like a good solution if the extra wait isn't an issue.

i wouldn't mind if it was someone that does as much biz on az as i do or more. there're a lot of us that wouldn't even think of burning someone if for no other reason than that we like being on az too much.

my buddy rick bought his first custom cue right here on az. it was a 2800 dollar tim scruggs. the seller sent him the cue first. rick liked the cue and sent the dough. those were the good old days though:wink:

like a good friend of mine says "people are as honest as they can afford to be".
