www.PoolActionTV.com Live The 2014 Smokin Aces Bar Box Open & match updates

Sky wins 21-18. Can't believe the tournament director let Shane back into the finals after he had lost a match. #favoritism #goldenboy

Who says there are no top players coming up? Sky and Bergman are up right now. Nice to see some young American guns again. Great match, nice purse, great stream. Johnnyt

Why no player interviews? They seem to do it in most other sports. I think it would be nice for the viewers to be able to hear from the players.

Kudos to a great tournament and a great stream. Congratulations to Sky Woodward. Anyone who goes through this kind of a field is a champion for sure.

Thanks for the updates and for all your hard work.

I've never known or heard of any player improving as much as Sky has in a two year period. The kid along with Bergman might just be a threat to become better players than Shane in a few years. Now lets see Bergman and Sky play a race to 100!;)

Indeed Johnnyt, PoolActionTV.com is pleased you enjoyed the action & live stream without issue.

I can see your point, and something to consider in the future if the opportunity is available. Keep in mind though, sometimes the players just aren't in the mood, mentally drained and/or an emotional wreck. Also keep in mind, just because the live feed is over, doesn't mean the work is done. Ray (Bigtruck) has several hours of arena tear-down, including but not limited to (massive lighting fixtures hung from the ceiling to take down and pack away & electrical wiring to bundle, Camera's & tripods and a ton of video wire to bundle, Audio equipment and even more audio wiring to bundle, computers to pack away, computer monitors & all wiring, banners, tables for said equipment etc etc etc). It can take hours to setup and tear-down a complete streaming arena. Also keep in mind that at times this all has to be expedited and done as quickly as possible due to an event staff that is more than eager to close up shop and go home after several 16-20 hour days of operation. So while it would be a nice thing to see, it's just not always possible. I hope I answered your question adequately.

Rob, I appreciate the kind words and I also appreciate you noticing and pointing out the effort it took. Keeping up with our other responsibilities and keeping this thread updated was quite the juggling act, trust me.

Indeed, about that race to 100 match...... Stay tuned for future announcements.

Great event glad I got too go see it in person

Did you introduce yourself and get your picture taken plus an autograph from the famous "Bigtruck"? If not than you missed out. However, The "Bigtruck" is no stranger to Smokin Aces and will be back there streaming in the near future. (EDIT: to correct poor choice in wording)

I'm not sure, but at only $20 I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be open for all. Good way to get some match time in regardless of the outcome. I say, go for it! If I was local to the establishment, I wouldn't hesitate to jump in. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
