Assuming I can't see either of the balls past the 8-ball, I like going off the right side of the 15 and try to get on the top rail behind the 5 ball. Definitely playing safe from here, and definitely not leaving the cue ball on the bottom half of the table.
You could also come down z fashion and land short side in the 2, 7 crotch. Last option I'd try is tie the 2 and 7 up.

I expect a pro to shoot the jump shot- furthest stripe in the corner. If he misses it is failure to execute not the wrong shot.

If jumps are allowed I would jump. I see a safe that could get you a shot. Softly come off the 15 and try to get the 15 to block the cueball from seeing those two balls by the corner pocket. He will have a shot but not an easy return safety. In reality, if I'm playing good, I might try to cue the ball up the rail.

First instinct is to jump on long stripe. Cb only has to go over 1/2 the 8 ball and can just use my normal cue. But that won’t give good shape on either ball. So if jumper available I’m jumping 12 to the side pocket. Then when I miss-racking!

A wrong option I like:

Is the 15 too far to triple bank the middle? In a friendly game I'd be verrrry tempted to find out.

(Not this but similar pattern, with left CB english to help:

)

But playing to win, I'd send the CB to the head rail (off the 15).
If I were a pro, I'd probably jump.

Freeze the rock on the head rail, nothing else
This... and as close to the left hand pocket as possible.

However if I was a pro and I know I'd be the best pro ever. I would try to park the CB behind the 5 rather than freeze to the rail. Your opponent is going to have a real hard time returning a safe from there.

Option 1: Thin the right side of the 13 and leave the cue ball on the rail above the one.

"Thinking outside the box" option: softly bank the six to create a 3 ball cluster with the 2-7 for him and hoping to get lucky that he won't have a shot on them with BIH.

The the top pocket in the pic. I didn’t know if it was right or left. That’s the only shot here, no matter how strong you play.

I'm calling that one the 'left' pocket. ;)

I'm just saying, if you have the chops to get close and behind that 5 ball. You can put the opponent in a spot where they can't make anything and will have a tough time returning the safe. Frozen to the rail, they still have an open shot on the 4.

We're on the same page. I'm just taking possibilities to extremes

Player sliced it down the long rail with a slight over cut.
Sold Out, almost made it. :)
All I saw was, clip r/s of stripe on the long rail left of the 5.
Bank out (stripe) to hopefully block the 5, but that's not your major move.
Land cue ball on head string, 5 as a blocker to opponents pocket.

Obviously you don't jump well.

Nothing very easy there, maybe try to put the cueball under the 5 or 4, can't tell which it is, on the short rail somewhere and bank the stripe towards the 8/6, or jump the 10 in the side. Tough layout either way with the solids open and all over the table unless you are playing someone that is not very skilled.

Agreed. I was trying to find the best path down there, would you hit before the side or after the side? If before the side there needs to be a bunch of right english, after side, not quite as much but the CB might have a hard time getting behind the 5.

The ultimate goal would be to use the 15/11 (whatever ball that is near the rail) blocks the 4 and/or 5 from going in that bottom left corner, meanwhile you're not giving up a cut on the 1 or the 2 as the CB would have to be near perfect for that to happen.
