The new breed in Women's pool. Both are great players. Notice who they beat in the semis, Allison and Karen. I liked Dawn Hopkin's commentary. Good voice, good analysis and good timing. She works well with Mitch and makes him better also.
It was a decent match, but for a minute there I wondered if they wanted to win! LOL They missed some easy balls at bad times, but we all do! Plus it kinda sucked the way it ended.

Not taking away anything from Jasmin, because she is a great player, but it seemed to me that she benefited from quite a few rolls. When she missed a shot, which wasn't too often, she usually left Xiaoting snookered. Instroke is right - they were'nt really playing their best in this match. Still, there were some incredible shots made and some terrific positional play.
That is obviously why women's pool has a larger TV audience than men's pool.
Most people also, speaking of those who don't play much/ever, think they are better players than the men because they see them shooting on a table with larger pockets.

I agree with Jay that Dawn Hopkins added some fresh commentary. And the broadcasts themselves are getting more interesting. I liked the longer personal interview that gave us a better idea of the players' personalities, not just a post-match comment.
I also liked the way the balls were identified on the table by expanding the balls and superimposing larger numbers on the screen before the shot.
These all are lessons the men's broadcasts (in the rare instances they are shown) should capitalize upon. And finally, I think Jasmin has the personality and the game to spark new interest in women's pool, just as Jeanette did in the '90s.

When they do this I feel that they are cheering for the other player. :happydance:
Other than that I think it is a insult to the players. The crowd claps as if they thought that some spectacular shot was made or they didn't think that the player was capable.
