THIS is how a wrapped case ought to be done. When you see a design laid out flat it often looks great but then when it's wrapped around the interior it loses much of it's punch and story and becomes a bunch of tooling on a tube. But when the design is planned for the space properly then the impact becomes even greater when it's wrapped. This is such a case. It is powerful and evocative on every side, even the seam side.
I bow in respect to the work that Yang does. Not only are his themes masterfully thought out but the construction details are superb. As everyone knows I am very critical of how cases are built and after studying this case desperately looking for anything "wrong" I have found that the only thing wrong is that I spent an hour looking for anything wrong
This man's cue case work is among the greatest ever. Every piece seems to raise the bar even farther.
John,
You're okay with the fact it doesn't have a JB padded interior?
Jive,
Thank you for sharing. That is a very nice case. Does your friend in NYC frequent either Amsterdam or Steinway? If so, I would love to get a closer look to admire.
That looks sick
Does he have a website or something where people can view his works and contact him for quotation or inquiries?

Ala torbe..... :thumbup::thumbup:
Freaking Awsome case !! To be honest Jive, I'm not big on colorful cases but this one blows my mind away. Looking at the close pic of the case it makes my hair stands up... The details of the theme is beyond word, especially the calabash and the white tiger. The fur detail on that Tiger is speechless. Thanks for the belated bday gift bud !!!!
That is an absolutely beautiful case!
Beautiful case! How do I get in contact with Master Yang?
Hehe, it's a beauty alright..and the case is in NYC right now :smile:
I don't think beauty is the right word for this case. This case will be shown at Amsterdam Billiard this friday night after 9PM if any AZ'er from around NYC/NJ area wants to take a close up look of the case and admire the art work and the detailed tooling of the case is more than welcome to swing by. Just ask the front desk manager on duty for me (Tom)
Hey tommy, i still owe you a $20 from when u beat me at paradise. You guys gotta help me get a case. They look awesome.
