Congrats to Ronnie Calamba Alcano.Renegade said:Yeah, but Yang must be mighty frustrated to be defeated in the Finals by another Filipino, Ronnie Alcano. Where do these Filipino players come from?! We're talking about the "Son of Pool" here, he of the impeccable jump shot, but this Alcano beat him. Of course, Yang scratched a couple of breaks, but still....
Just where do these Filipino players come from???!!!! I mean, are they genetically breeding them back there? Maybe we can get some gene lab to take a few chromosomes from Johnny Archer and mix it up with some DNA from Earl Strickland, Sigel, and Mizerak for good measure.

mjantti said:Well, your analysis isn't really true. In Yang vs. Reyes, it was Yang who had the break in the hill-hill and he just ran out the rack for the win. There was nothing Efren could've done there...
IMHO in alternative break format, the breaker in hill-hill match should be lagged. With these caliber of players, the opening lag has too much significance because the winner has the break in the possible hill-hill situation. Also, they could continue breaking as normal, but a difference of 2 games should be needed. I don't like the idea, that by losing the opening lag, your chances of winning diminish quite a lot if the match goes all the way. It should be like in tennis, if the set goes to 6-6, the first one to serve doesn't have an advantage because they have the tie-break then. And if the match goes to the 5th set, they don't play the tie-break, but require 2 game difference to win.
BlowFish said:I just mentioned that Yang went Hill-Hill twice to two filipinos before the match with Alcano and maybe that was why Yang lost steam or run out of gas when the match was with Alcano.
I don't see anything wrong with my statement and there is no analysis of any game with Yang against Efren or Valle that I made. My analysis was between Yang and Alcano.

isn't manny pacquiao as big as efren back there?
I agree, lead by two should be interesting....they do it for the championship but not for the semis
