Yang vs. Orcullo

39-26 Yang leading. Dennis gets up to shoot

The crowd, I would imagine, is very quiet now.

I am interested to know how many games in a row did Yang break and run in today's session. Without watching the match, it is hard to say, but I would imagine that being the key to his big lead.

I don't think anyone thought that Yang would be leading by this much at the end of the 2nd day. Johnnyt

Wow...this is awesome...

All Yang needs is one open chance; while Dennis is trying not to make any mistake--it just does not get any better than this!

Though all taiwanese believe no one in the world can defeat Yang in the race-to-60 battles, leading Orcullo more than 10 on day two is still surprising.

Yang, Go! Go! Go!

Hi,
Was there a particular turning point in the match, in your opinion?
Thank you.

Anything is possible, it is too early to tell.

But...

...if Yang is leading say, 10 games going into the third day, it is like Dennis giving Yang 10 on the wire, and the first break, race to 30, in front of a hugh home town crowd and TV camera.

Will you put your money on Orcullo with this weight?

Richard

Heck no, lol. I was just implying that anything is possible like you said.

To be honest, at first I thought nobody could beat Orcullo, after seeing him play a few times. He was like a machine, did everything perfectly. At that time, I had only seen one match of Yang's, and some snippets of footage on the internet. I thought nobody could beat Dennis, especially with all the stories I heard about how he was giving monster spots to pros at the DCC.

About a month ago, I was fortunate to borrow a few DVD's from a friend who had footage of Yang playing in the WPC, since '03 to '05. I watched four matches, and the way that he played was astounding. I realized how naive I was. I think Yang plays right at the same level of Orcullo. So basically I'm not rooting for anyone, I just hope that some amazing pool is played, so I can buy the DVD or video whenever the heck it's available!! LOL :D

Just to put another perspective on the current score...

Yang won today's round 21-8! That's a slaughter.

Once I heard about yang after the 2002 WPC… (Throwing down a 7 pack on archer after being down 7-4 in a race to 11 in the quarters or semis ? him and busty shooting 4 and 5 packs at each other, taking everybodys $ gambling) I had to see what this guy was about.

I then had a few matches of him beating mika and park and then some from the Asian tour and WPC and I didn’t say to myself that this kid don’t miss.. I said to myself this kid makes everything ! he had the whole package tho.. the monster break with control, safteys run outs if ther was any kind of shot, perfect cue ball control. Actually these last couple of wpc’s he hasn’t even peformed up to par with himself. The only other pro that impressed me like he did was alex.. yang and alex play amazing pool. I only have a clip of dennis though.. so I cant say anything about how his game levels against those two. But if he beats alex.. then I don’t know how good you have to be
