Here's one everybody loves to see at hill/hill. What's your favorite shot from here, and how would you play it if for some reason you were not able to shoot your favorite shot (I don't know why, make something up). Again, what are your top two choices from here?

I would shoot it this way everytime. I am trying to make the 3 rail bank, but make sure to shoot the shot short rather than long. This will force your opponent to have to come with a good shot as well.
 
Well, here's my suggestions. See pages 1 and 2. I would probably go with the kick though since I feel very comfortable with this selection. (Of course, I tested the table before my match to ensure the rail condition).:D

I'm probably 75% to 80% on the cross corner bank from here, so that's what I would go for. I'd shoot it fairly hard so that the cue ball would also cross the table and end up somewhere on the foot rail and hopefull miss it long so that the 9 ball would go up table.

LOL, don't think I'm some kind of great banker. It's just for me, that particular bank is very easy to judge for some reason and I almost always make it when I try it. For me, it's easier than trying to cut it down the rail, for instance. I played this shot last week in a league match (8-ball) from an even steeper angle (cue ball closer to the rail the OB is on) where my opponent thought he had locked me up safe and ran out from there. Just lucky, I guess. : )

I like this one (and the other that was similar) as for a safety.
But for the win, you could have kicked 2 rails and pocketed in the side.
I had a similar shot last night during an 8b game.
no stakes, just for fun, but I feel confident that had I taken more time than the quick glance I gave it, I'd have made it. I was only a nick off from it.
Coulda woulda shoulda, right? :D
