RKC, I would rather read 100 posts of yours, then even one of 90% of the people on here.
I have to believe someone tried doing it themselves. I need that to be true.
I did one of mine years ago. Being a machinist, I made sure everything was damn perfect.
I made a tool that allowed me to stretch the cloth tight af by myself. It turned out great.
Presently, I would rather sit back, have a drink, and let a pro do it. I have other things to do.
I contacted a local , established table specialist (KY,TN) to cover a table I had a deal to buy (before the seller backed out on the last day).
I asked him what adhesive he used along the outside of the slate and he replied, "Only bar tables get glued down. All 9' tables use staples."
That was the end of our conversation. Be careful out there...
I bought new from Diamond but when the time comes I will try to get RKC or at least someone he trained.

Yeah, they paid the full amount, instead of asking for their money back after the job was done!! Because someone else offered to do the same work for 50% less!!
Sweet. Are those for the tournament venue you’ve been putting together?

I understand the question but I don't understand why you're asking it. All I wanted to know is what issues you see with the photos posted since I am not looking at it with your trained eye of an experienced professional. (Is that deferential enough, RKC?)
He's asking because he's a pompous you know what and he seeks attention.
When I want to learn about tables I read RKC's posts but if I ever had the need to hire a "PRO" I would rather pay for Trent from Toledo to fly to Idaho. RKC is knowledgeable but he is the complete opposite of professional.

I've asked him questions via DM and he's provided me his cell phone and has taken time to help me out via phone calls, so I appreciate that he has been very helpful asking nothing in return from me.
Looks like a haircut you would get at a barber school from a first week student.
Yep, I know he's like that, but that doesn't outweigh his general attitude towards people so - IMHO - he can eat a dick.
You seem to forget, not only do you NOT ever have the option of hiring me, you DON'T have enough money even if you wanted to!!
