You have to see this............

Never say you have seen it all! Because eventually you will see something that will amaze anybody.
Got a call wanting their table moved recovered and set back up, and we went to look at it.....because she said it was real old. And they wanted to see about refurbishing it I guess. I will just let the picture say it all..............

LOL..........not even sure where to start! Not even enough room to flip it back over cause the room is too narrow! A complete mess of a table.....rough shape, pieces missing or broke, rail bolts missing and replaced with lag bolts, and on and on. Too bad because was a nice table at one time......now not even sure if it's worth doing anythig with. No telling if the slate are still in the 3 pieces or cracked into 6 or 7...lol! :D

I think your first job should be leveling the table. It appears to have a slight lean to the right.

Andy,
Don't be so critical, I think the picture was taken AFTER PTM worked on it (he may have to invest in a new level though).

PTM,
Sorry, we know you didn't do it. Though we were wondering what kind of cloth is on it - do you think the balls would fall off that table quicker if it had 760 or 30/30. Also if I'm playing one pocket on that table I definitely want that right lower pocket for mine.

looks like the new brunswick gold crown V. seriously, that table is a classic!, looks to be about circa 1892. i'd fix it up, and not return it, they don't deserve it!

lol....I will play Johnny Archer some on that table, If I get the breaks! lol

It is amazing the things people do to tables when they have no clue. I would like to have been there when the whole thing was going on......just to hear the conversations and ideas going thru their minds before the decided to do that!
Tough thing to mess with becasue you have to flip it back over....and I ain't so sure the legs could take that! Or try and take it apart on it's side like it is..........a mess!

The table looks fine, just a little leveling would do the trick... try sticking a quarter under one leg, might do the trick lol!

Hey Hemi, You sure that wasn't your table? :D :D

Carlton, PTM was going to be nice about the whole thing and not mention that table was mine and you have to go and drop a dime on me.

The only way PTM was able to get the table out of that room was to have my wife pick it up and move it. Hell, she put it there.

PTM -- THAT's why I want those little leveling feet like the GC IV's. See what happens when you gotta rely on shims!

PTM...I'd appreciate your opinion on the GC2 and GC3 compared to the GC4. If all three were in excellent, restored, as-new condition, which would you choose and why? Thanks,
rayjay
