Group lesson in Rancho Cucamonga this Saturday

Just to add to this...I am doing a group lesson in the Rancho Cucamonga area on this Saturday 9/29 from 11a-3p. We have a couple slots still open, if anyone wishes to join this group. This is a special group rate, which is much less than my normal private rate. I also have time Friday night, or Saturday night in the Riverside/San Bernadino area.

I'm headed for a lesson in Las Vegas on Friday, and then lessons in San Bernadino, Riverside, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Jose, Walnut Creek, and Sacramento, California...over the next 10 days. Anyone interested, in those areas, nearby, or along the way, can PM me for more information.

There is a reference to a book. Is the a Scott Lee book?

Julian...It is a 25+ page booklet detailing stroke technique, personal eye patterns, and the Mother Drills. I give one to each student now, along with recording the lesson on dvd. PM me if you're interested.

Hey, Scott,

MikeM...Been a LONG time! LOL:D We have plans for a pool school in both Baltimore and Richmond, but probably not until next summer. If you don't want to wait that long, I'm planning another school in Harrisburg, PA for January.

yeah it has been awhile.:) Harrisburg sounds great. If the last one wasn't during the Redskins home opener weekend I would've been there!:(

I'll keep my wife posted on the January dates.

See you soon,

Mike

Scott and Randy will be doing a pool school with me here in Charlotte next month if that fits your schedule better. You might catch the skins on a bye week!

I WAS wondering how you stay so "plugged in" while you are on the road.

I used to hook up through my cell phone with ATT and Verizon's unlimited plans - was pretty cool although slow to browse the newsgroups and use mapquest while driving. But tough to do it "while" driving.

I hear that some of the wireless cards now provide pretty good internet speeds - is that true or is it still fairly slow?

I finally got a coaching session with Scott Lee last night, and I can only say I wish I'd done it sooner. I've known Scott for years, talking with him whenever we run into each other at pool halls in Chicago (he's here a lot), and have always admired his practical teaching philosophy based in solid knowledge and experience, so I've always thought it "couldn't hurt" to take a lesson with him.

Now that I've had the "Scott Lee experience" I understand what's been missing from our casual conversations. When Scott is "on", it's something to behold - he's a fast-moving, fast-talking bundle of pool-focused energy, dispensing rapid-fire insights and really cool simple, practical techniques for self-monitoring, practice and improvement that really impressed me and I think will really help me (and I'm pretty picky about what I'll try). His frame-by-frame video analysis of my stance and stroke (he actually draws on the screen right over the image to illustrate his points) was worth the price of admission by itself, but the added value of his down-to-earth, effective techniques are real icing on the cake.

We worked exclusively on stance and stroke (my choice), and I think I already have *pretty* good fundamentals, but Scott clearly has enough to teach me about that to satisfy my thirst for improvement. We had to cut the session short because of logistical delays getting started, but I'll catch the rest of it next time Scott's in town. I'll be looking forward to it, Scott, and recommending it to others.

PJ,
This is quite possibly the best investment you could have ever made. Best of luck to you, and let us know about your progress. Scott is definitely one of the best!

John...I've got a Sprint Aircard that gives me broadband speed on my laptop anywhere I can get a good phone signal. I love it!
