No, it should be "You're a dick".
Please try to get it right next time ;-)

Okay, so I'm punchy after a night at the ballhall -- hence, here's another silly poll -- I'm curious, what's your "favorite" forum peeve..?

One choice I wanted to make on the poll

Actually MY favorite is when one poster misquotes another and then argues a point that was never stated. Then the original poster does the exact same thing in return. Then you have two people arguing a subject/viewpoint that was never mentioned to start with:) ..and it deteriorates into name calling...then of course...to blame it all on Hillary Clinton on George Bush or in some rare cases....a banned poster:rolleyes: . THOSE are my favorite threads. AZBilliards should have a resident psychologist on staff. The analysis would be priceless.

They should have a paid section and put all the deleted threads in there. Idea?

I know I have made posts I have regretted. Late night posts..drunken posts. But I am trying to learn from my mistakes and think before hitting the "Submit Reply" button. Its always a work in progress.

I do not have any pet peeves as I know the word tolerance.

Incorrect Grammar

Mostly the incorrect use of to, too, and two. Also their, they're, and there. For some on here, even our, or, and are.

Whyze that bother you so much!!!!

Never noticed the spell checker option to be honest.

But I vote for grammer and spelling police as well.If the thought is conveyed, well guess what...we be a communicatin'...which after all is the point of a message board no?

Frankly though that's more of a forum peeve from lots of places on the web...it does happen here, but some forums (not pool related) live by the creed "Find the error and point it out...quick!!...I'll be crazy cool if I do that!!" Kinda sad really.

Peeve

Easy question with an easier answer----

Deanoc's incessant selling, and his innumerable threads, for his "best ever"
cue. A perfect reason to use the ignore option, but he is still taking up space from other sellers/traders/buyers.

I don't want to be a spelling policeman, but...

"Prolly" really bugs me. It took quite awhile before I realized what the hell that meant. Ohhh, it's a phonetic spelling of the way most people pronounce "probably"...

Also, the use of "your" when they mean "you're". I'd say about 80% of youtubers get that one wrong.

I always think, where the hell is the rest of the sentence? "Your stupid..." what? is a fragment.

The Poster Who's Name Shall Not Be Mentioned.

My favorite "peeve" is currently in a well deserved, AZ Forum Moderator driven "timeout".
I am enjoying the brief respite immensely.:)

Brother from another mother???

If I had to pick a one word peeve that just really "made me twitch" this was/is it.Every message board has a few users of this chalk board scratcher. My disdain for "prolly" probably can not be measured.

Prolly not that is!!!...(first and last time ;) )

We had a discussion about this at the derby......why do people insist on typing IMO at the end of their post? Isn't it obvious that you are stating your opinion???

Occasionally someone will post a fact. :p

One thing that annoys me is when someone replies to a post without first reading all the subsequent posts in that thread.

Another is folks who start a thread and never participate in the dicussion as it unfolds.

Very long posts that are posted as one flowing paragraph.

HAHA. This took me like an hour to read.

I always hate when people loose money.
