About me I prefer 8-ball .
and i didn't play one pocket OR 14.1 before :frown:

I enjoy 8 ball the best.

Mainly because the 2 games played the most in my area are 8 and 9 ball.

Never liked APA, I find 9 ball rules distasteful as well. Like the 3 foul rule and as long as you hit the lowest ball....everything else is great.

Not a great fan of slop
 
I play a lot of 9-ball but I truly love 14.1. I just cant find anyone around here that wants to play it. I have one friend who is teaching me more of the game and I am loving it. I play them all but for me nothing compares to 14.1 for me. I just always seem to have a blast
 
One Pocket is my favorite, than 9 Ball, 14/1, than 8 Ball LAST. Sadly in the Valley of the Sun there is only (1) One Pocket Tournament a month, and it is like an hour and 15 minutes drive toget to it.

in order of favorite to least favorite.....

1 Pocket
8 Ball
14.1
10 ball
9 ball(not a favorite at all)
 
My favorite game is the one my opponent wants to play. But if I had to choose I would would go with eight ball. More strategy than most except one pocket but quicker.
 
To play:

8-ball (easy to find a game)
14.1 (nobody wants to play)
One-Pocket (nobody I know has even heard of it)
9-ball (become a slop fest most of the time)
10-ball (haven't even tried)

To watch:

14.1 (the best game ever)
One-Pocket (interesting chess match when played well)
8-ball (nice to watch when experienced players play)
10-ball (would watch because I've never seen it)
9-ball (completely sick and tired of it)

Strip poker with a bunch of "Hooter's girls" is always nice. I didn't see that listed.

I think that 9-ball is the most entertaining game to watch due tooo the luck of the roll....
All games have a little luck in them and that is what makes it exciting to watch...
Especially poker! =))
 
1. Short rack banks on a 9 foot

2. I like all of these equally
10 ball on a 9 foot
9 ball on a 9 foot
8 ball on a bar box, ball in hand rules
Golf on a snooker table

I never played much 14.1.
Just started to play some 1 pocket, jury's still out on this one.

I dislike ANY game on an 8 foot.

I like 1 pocket and bar box 8 ball.Strategy and cue ball control keep me more interested then games that require just endless ball pocketing.Both these games allow for a bit creativity.One pocket feels like recreation,9 ball feels like work to me.
 
In order of favourite to least favourite

1, Eight ball

2, 14.1

3, Nine ball

I can't speak for 1 pocket because I have never played the game. Nor have I played 10 ball.
