Zero-X system???

Colormegone2002...Since you don't know the function of the Mother Drills, or how to use them to teach yourself to play better, you really can't make a judgement call. First, it's 42 reps that are very specific, with specific intentions. 2nd...you do them every day. 3rd...there are 6 other drills that follow, in varying degrees of short repetition and high focus. 4th...Yes, short repetition, with high focus, measurable goals, and immediate feedback, is far better than doing something thousands of times. That is a common "best practice" feature among teaching almost anything.

42 reps and you think that is better than 2-3000? Tor doesn't say to do them all

on the same day,tho he recommends that you do them without playing a game.

I'm not doubting scotts ability to teach but at the same time, I don't think that

you'll get better results by doing something only 42 times and thats not just my

opinion

Larry...Reread my post. I quoted only the initial 3000 ball drill...which I happen to disagree with. I made no mention of, nor reference to Tor Lowry's other material...some of which is exactly the same thing I teach, and some is different. I have always said that his material is well organized and presented. FTR, I teach ALL other aspects of how to play, including mental training. Let's keep it on topic. With all the better instructors, stroke is the first and foremost thing to focus on.

sorry if i misrepresented/misinterpreted your original post

Thanks for all of the replies. For 30.00, I figured I can't go wrong, so I ordered and downloaded it yesterday. I would like to consider myself a pretty strong player already but feel like there are a few things holding me back from stepping my game up a couple/few balls. I am hoping to start at the bottom and work through the entire series and increase everything from the basic fundamentals on up...

I have all of Tor's material and love them.
The purpose of the stroke drill is to set your muscle memory so that the function becomes permanent and automatic. A very useful exercise.
The kicking video is very good for multiple reasons.
I highly recommend all of his work.
His newest addition is a spiral bound book (PFK). A masterpiece.
Have fun.

I also purchased and downloaded videos.

His presentation is fantastic. Something about his tone, the way he speaks, his explanations, etc., makes things easy to understand.

Highly recommended. I am ordering his book as well.

Tor's DVD's are excellent but asking you to do 2000 shots without playing against anyone is not very realistic or productive. I'm not saying that in the long run there would not be any benefit but Scott and Randy's Mother Drill # 1 gives you instantaneous feed back and I feel is of greater benefit. JMHO

I spent 5 days with Tor 2 years ago.... That was awesome.... I have all the downloads on my computer... I now have the "BOOK".............. The Book is awesome..... If you can afford book and dvds get both. If not, the book is loaded with info and color pictures on the pages with diagrams..... I would get the book..

I bought both the book and dvds.Worth every penny.....He has a facebook page you order from.

It doesn't take much google-fu to find his videos on the YouTubes. They are easily the best instructional videos on the intranets!
