Want to start in basic shaft repair.

Thats good for the guy posting. Since you have both what do you like better from one brand to another
The MidAmerica has been excellent for all my needs... the quality is excellent. I have 2 locations. I wanted another lathe to tinker with. Space is the issue. The shop is a closet. I choose the CueMan Micro ll as it is in 2 sections. 36" with a 12" extension. It is easier to store and move. The quality is absolutely excellent. Only shortcoming is the carriage travel not full length. I can work around that but would have bought the MidSize if I knew ahead of time. Either lathe is a good pick. To new buyers...The factors would be comparing price or delivery time frames. To be honest both are so good I'd flip a coin. I have not dealt with the new owner of MidAmerica (and I'm sure he is good)...Hightower's service, customer service is as good as it gets. He is professional. He is accommodating. My .02 is buy one or the other... do not look further.

Nicest Cuemakers

Dear Citizen,
I know this is a long shot as your post about Wayne Holmes is more than 10 years old. I am looking for Wayne Holmes cues for my children and nephews. I am Wayne's daughter. I remember him telling me about your visit to his home in North Carolina. Unfortunately, my dad passed in 2014. I miss him every day. I know you are fond of his work. Might you know of someone who would be willing to sell?
you may want to post you are looking for wayne holmes cues here
i hope you find one or more

Gold Crown II

I don't know. I didn't play much growing up. I am retired now and just started playing about a year ago. I have been playing on an eight foot Bristol or Contender, I can't tell which, but thought I would like to have a nice nine foot table to setup in my shop. I am in South Carolina, so maybe you are right and some, were after engineered some way for coin operation. Like I said, I have no idea.

My Fargorate progression

I actually watched your stream last night. I'm probably a low 500 Fargo, and it was good for me to see players better than me, but not at the pro level. Really enjoyed watching your steady cuing. The guy you were playing, the 515 I think, it sometimes looked like the stream was in fast motion.
Thanks for streaming!
Thanks for watching! First time I've ever met or played him. He surprised me, had a lot of good shots, but like all of us, dogged a bunch too.
