Going towards CF break shaft/cue, my options

How's the Triple60 break shaft play? There's something I have not had a chance to fiddle with here yet. Triple60 isn't so popular here. It initially had big pricetags, but resale value is rockbottom on reselling apps on the shafts I have seen here. Lot of friends weren't so enamored with them.

The Gold9 shaft I picked up is real nice. Same taper as a BKR shaft, but ferrule material is slightly different. Ignite G is real nice, I especially like its thinner taper for the MR format break. It says on their site that the tip is 12.9mm but mine measured at 12.7mm. The Gold 9 is 12.9mm.

I agree with KimBye, the PBK is fantastic. Maybe switch up the tip before you try on a new shaft.
Triple 60 shafts are high quality shafts. The break shaft has a nice taper and feel to it, not as jarring as day Cuetec and Predator. Changing the tip to something like a Gator or SAI will give you better cue ball control.
The prices are about the same as other big brands, the interchangeable insert system is a nice bonus.
A custom break shaft would actually be slightly cheaper and it would be equally good in terms of performance, but resell value tends to be lower than the brand names.

International Open 2025

Perhaps, but probably not where this event is located- no way someone is going to pay out double and triple hotel rates for a pool tournament - they always seek out rates more favorable than standard. The night of lights goes on for over 2 months! This time period- this week is not even close to peak season for this event- sorry not buying that hotels are jammed this week with tourists - this is still a slower time for Florida hotels - pool tournaments in the U.S. are not going to be held in hotels at peak season rates- end of story.
What I was trying to say was that in the past the Night of Lights started a week later. This tournament was booked BEFORE the city council decided to change the Night of Lights dates. They changed those dates just in the past year to address the absolute chaos that the event brings to town. "end of story" HA! This is the internet..., :)

Sneak-Peek, Half-CaF Shaft

I posted on here about 3 yrs ago of a guy on the Schon forum that was doing this, and would try and match the wood portion to the butt.
I think it looks pretty neat, but back then all the naysayers somewhat ripped me for even suggesting such a thing.
See Muskyed's photo from that post below

Comments from that December 2021 post:

Really cool looking. Hope they got a patent pending cause that'll be being built everywhere I bet
Kinda interested.
Add a joint at the transition, pair it with a nice jump/break butt and there's your next-gen travel cue.
Looks like just another gimmick to increase sales.
Cool? That's just looks "funny" to say at least...but may be it's just me.
For me if one likes those benefits cf shafts offered ... just take it its simple and natural look with no deco rings what so ever...better think about the butt design to match it the best. Those cf shafts were designed to perform, last ... so on ...in the first place;)
they are just offering another goofy thing for the sake of making a sale

POOR COMMON COURTESY AND COMMUNICATIONS FROM @RyanJunker

Yeah.
Go to facebook and search predator P3. You’ll see many pictures are the same and posted by many people. Then when you open the account and look further into it, all the other pictures that they have in the account have different pool table backgrounds and even some other people business cards or watermark on it. It got out of hand long time ago, and now are worse, but Facebook didn’t care because their moneys making are running ads. The more users or accounts there are, the more moneys they making. So if facebook busting or cancel all these scammers accounts, they’ll lose a big big chunk of subscribers. That’s why I non stop warn people about them and banned them as I see them throughout all my 50 cue groups. The best way to fight against scammers are to VIDEO LIVE CHAT, many or most scammers will not show their real face nor have the item. If it’s your first time doing transactions, I suggest to pay with good and service or another form that protects you. Use another person to pick up locally or escrow services.

Brunswick gold crown 7 video ..everything new walk through from the expo!

I don't know.

I just know it plays really tough and stingy. Balls typically will go in on the break but it seems like rarely does it give up a decent runnable spread.
Play 1p or Straight ...j/k
I suppose it might just be me.

When I get the new Diamond Professional if the same thing happens I will then have a pretty good idea of what the deal is.

You'll like the Diamond ...you'd enjoy the GC4 if set up right. Selling the GC4? ... My 4 is from 1998. Excellent condition...I'd want at least $5000 and could sell it tomorrow. Don't under estimate the value.
