yea, wu was pretty much toast mid match. make it race to 13 winner breaks and make it a WNT event so they can credit the ranking points

In NYC, bars are slowly moving towards Diamonds. Maybe about 1/3 of the bars I play in for league have them.

I painted my formica with automotive paint for years ago. It's held up very well. The biggest problem is always going to be the dots in the rails.

I would expect spraying the rails would be way less expensive than removing and replacing the the laminate. All you need to do is scuff the rails and fill any dents, then prime and paint.

Matte is a bad choice, tho. It will get shiny in spots as you play on it and show every fingerprint. Paint gloss, clear coat, then buff back to a lower gloss final.

I have two of these cues, but these are not my pictures. Penn Ray is the brand. Import from the 80's. I see similarities.

Let's face it. People that play on bar boxes in bars enjoy the competition but enjoy the comradery even more especially in a league environment, teams like APA or TAP.
Nothing wrong with that. To each their own.
There is nothing like a poolroom with well maintained 9 footers I'm my opinion. That's just me.

Two completely different scenarios.
That being said, in my area at least, there are plenty of 9 foot killer players that play bar tournaments once or twice even on weekends because there are tons of tournaments being run in bars.
They just relish playing pool.

Yes, it is a Mizerak Pro SM-7

This is an earlier one with sharp points. Later ones had rounded CNC points.

The pin and pilot are likely nothing like yours. I was merely showing an example of the ring material. I have a variety of others, different brands, import and US, but I don't know if I have pictures showing the grain in the rings so clearly.

I know that I have production cues with a tapered compression fir like you cue, but I haven't found pictures yet. I don't always have detailed pics. I am still in the midst of cataloging what I have.

I couldn't find clear pictures of pin and pilot of that exact cue, this is another one I own, an SM-3
