New Esoteric Cue - Chopped Cocobolo FS with Kielwood Shaft

New Esoteric Cue

Chopped Cocobolo/Curly Maple FS with Kielwood Shaft. What is a chopped FS Sneaky Pete?

When you purchase a SP Blank they have what i call "pimpy point heights" that are closer to the middle of the cue than the nose in some casees. IMO ugly!

So what i do is chop 5 inches off the nose, insert a 3/4" tennon on the butt and then install a butt sleeve and cap.

Then retaper the butt to my parabolic profile on the saw butt tapering machine.

This brings the points closer to the nose,
which in my view is a better visual porportional look! That is what you see here. It is more labor and material but I think, in the end, it is really worth the effort.

This cue has a premium curry maple forearm, the body is a very nice piece of Central American Cocobolo with white Joint Colars and butt cap.

The shaft is 13 mm Double Torified Kielwood with a 5/16 14 brass insert to match the 5/16 pin installed in the butt. Ultra Skin 10 layer pig on a 1/2" ferrule.

Butt is 15.7
Shaft is 3.7

A very solid player delivered with JPs.

This cue will be shipped fully insured CONUS, Priorty USPS for the
sum of:

$ 1,150.00

Zelle or Venmo. Sorry no Trades offers are welcome!

Thanks for looking,

Funny pic/gif thread...

I don't post many crash videos or road rage nonsense. I see a lot of crash videos w cars ramping stray tires then going over the divider into oncoming traffic which would likely be fatal. This is more of a what would you do here type video.
What you would NOT do. Don't stop in a live lane, ever.

Errant tires always find their way to the inside or outside shoulder.

I would like to see "a lot" of vids where cars ramp over the divider from hitting a tire.

Warped maple??

I, for one, would be reluctant to core these old butts. It is not unusual to find a metal dowel glued into the bottom 6 inches or so. They weren't designed to be removable.
Just sayin'

A good magnet can find these pretty quick. Typically, the old house cues worth converting have a solid butt with un-modified end grain, so these will be safe as well. So far, the only cues I have seen a metal slug in the butt are cheap cues I wouldn't want to convert anyway.

Last time that vid had a different vehicle crash into the others at the end and only one person fled toward the median.

Must be fake.

Seybert’s shipping prices

Some hats could be in Michigan or other hats could be in China but if they are in the US the price shouldn't vary by more than $1 - 2. I don't think any business would be charging International rates for domestic shipping though. Do auto manufacturers make more money off of selling cars or car parts?? Both are profitable and don't need gouged shipping!
