Table time is on the expensive side where I live, so I tend to get most of my practice in after league night. I mostly just work on long, straight in shots and try to get a feel for better mechanics.

You can also put CB on the spot and shoot down table to center diamond and have it come back and hit your tip, that's a quick and easy one. From there you can start adding left/right english to learn how it affects the throw of the ball. I.e. does 1/2 tip of left at X speed put the CB near the corner or between the corner and center diamond.
Then, any rendition of the follow shot. Start with the 1 through 4 without the 15 ball in the middle, that should be a good start at your level. As you improve, add more balls.
Other then that, practice kicks, banks, and most definitely 3 rail shots, remember, it's easy to convert a 3 railer into a 2 or 4 rail shot. Lots of good info regarding 3 railers, spot on the wall, and rebound affects in this thread I started a few years ago.
Yeah I’d be curious to see if they remember anything. It might be that Fred had his career-ending stroke before he could pump out a lot of cues, I dunno. Anyway, I visited Buffalo first time a few weeks ago, really great place.
