Well I have another triggered memory. I was on the second chance side in the A devision with 4 players left. My opponent got to The Hill first but when I caught up there, I knew if I got to shoot I was going to win. Well alternate break allowed him to snap the 9 for the win. Our friendship was solidified when I good natured implied that he snapped it because he was afraid of me. .
4th place still got me kicked up to the Masters where I only posted one win next time around. It was however against a Grand Master.

Those 80's era Gold and Silver label Joss's are the best, both visually and in raw playability. I have five and I wish I had 20...

If pool was played on tables like that I would not have been/ be a pool player...at least not for money!!!!

Intention has zero to do with fouls. Do you generally intend to scratch? Do you intend to not hit a rail after contact?

Miscues should not be fouls unless an obvious double hit occurred. By obvious, I mean with the naked eye without video payback. Replay would be the death of pool, which is already boring as hell to watch. Before someone jumps down my throat, that is my opinion (which should be obvious), but also seems to be the consensus of the non pool playing population.
