The Rumor........................................... MR.... Holding the 2026 US Open 9 Ball in TEXASAs 2025 is coming to a close, I’ve been reflecting on some of my favorite moments of the year.
I subscribed to WNTTV-dot-com for Matchroom's World Nineball Tour's U.S. Open Pool Championship in Atlantic City. There were lots of interesting matches, but this one really grabbed me. A local Virginia shooter who plays for the love of the game drew World Champion Fedor Gorst his very first round. And if that's not tough enough, they put them on the TV table.
Reginald Jackson stepped up to the plate and showed no fear. Though Fedor did win every game of the match, Reginald was a complete gentleman in defeat. Look at those smiles between these two. Reginald posted about the experience: "One of the best moments I've had as a pool player. What an experience. I've been working even harder on my game ever since. Can't thank Fedor enough for that goose egg."
If you have a favorite memory in 2025, please share.
The mutual respect shared by these two was captured at the right moment. I just love those smiles!

I'm still sticking with age being the deciding factor here. If you were to poll every hi-end cue buyer as to their age i'd bet pretty good that VERY few are younger than 50. As that age group gets older/dies off you'll see fewer and fewer custom cues. Younger players don't give a crap about fancy one-off cues.
Was he practicing to win just US Opens or was he also practicing to go on the road and win a ton of $ gambling? When's the last time you heard of 2 US Fargo 770's matching up for 5k or more aside from Fedor vs Shane? The tourney competition would be much much tougher but there's virtually zero matchups for the top 10 - 20 US players against each other. Oscar is always looking for action but he's playing Morra or some hispanics more than American players. The action isn't there and the depth of US pool players is non existent minus Shaw/Fedor and a lot of other non US born players that live here now.
ok. then move along and don't say anything. you aren't adding anything. and you implied people who buy the systems are somehow inferior to you. which i am pretty sure isn't true.right ... i dont use and dont need ..... and i understand it enough to know it not worth having
Looks like at least 5-6 balls were involved in some series of both caroms and combos which allowed him to make this shot.Hello all........
Can anyone accurately depict the layout of the balls prior to Irving Crane pocketing the two at 11:21 For the life of me I can't figure out the chain reaction that resulted in him making that shot. The YT video I have access to is entirely too dark to make heads or tails out of. Thanks in advance. This is the video for reference:
