just so everyone is aware you need to delete your email from any of the forums and only respond by pm's on here or through pm's to get contact info of the actual person. The last few times I posted to buy and sell on here there has been people following the forum trying to scam people by acting like they are the seller. Very tricky but I have seen a few of these posts now.

It was STONEY Island, which means you were on the South Side, and the cop did you a big favor.

Like all cities, Chicago has safe and unsafe areas. I used to live in Cicero, back when it was still a mob town and very safe at all hours of the day or night. But, if you got on the wrong side of Cicero Avenue after dark, you were dead meat.

If you are worried about crime, there are online crime maps and gang maps, but best to ask the locals. Chicago is very neighborhoody.

I think @daflorc is right that he got scammed.

Unless Jamie has changed his name to Robert Wilks Harper recently.

Jamie, it appears that someone was pretending to be you - saw my post offering a trade deal, and emailed me posing as you, looking like it was you responding to me and my post. I got scammed. To anyone reading this, it wasn't the actual Jamie (worminator) who scammed me.

vickie be careful when getting offers to buy and value
many here are honorable and will give you good advice
some will try to low ball you an offer
and some are scammers
you need to weigh the butt and give weight in ounces and size
measure the shafts in millimeters
and say whether everything is straight or not
it there is a "wobble" when you roll the shafts if its slight many call that a taper roll
