Spin-to-Speed or Revolutions-per-Foot?

YES BUT

Actually I could stop there but why? Anyway the academia gives concepts with labels you can remember.

The academia can provide a framework sometimes. Problem is sometimes the exceptions become the rule!

One thing interesting that I did as an experiment. I messed around with a book at home, maybe Banking with the Beard. I was using a program on the computer to memorize the shots, maybe VP3. When I went and played on a Diamond blue label I was surprised that the banks worked with very little adjustment! I improved my banking with a book and a computer!

Pro Billiard Series - Las Vegas Men's Open 10ball live now

Really embarrassing how many 10s are being made on the break on Table 1. If it's a table problem they should have fixed it by now. No sure if it's a racking problem because it is happening under multiple referees.

When the 10 is not going in directly it is moving to the bottom right corner. If early 10s were allowed they would have finished this event 1 day early 😆

Diamond table domination

Some of the pool table confusion, including mine, was due to AMF making a GrandPrix that was a virtual twin of a GC.

Amen to that!

When I watch those old Accu-Stats DVDs from the Sands Regency Tournament in Reno I can't tell if they are playing on a Gold Crown or on that AMF table. I think it was called the Advantage.

Unless Grady or Billy or Buddy said what table it was I couldn't really tell.

Pro Billiard Series - Las Vegas Men's Open 10ball live now

None of these events are perfect, and that includes the mighty Matchroom. Hopefully one of these days they get rid of the stupid shootout. Also, 10 ball should count early if on a called combo. It is the money ball! I don't mind the sets. Predator puts a lot into it. Still can't get used to the multi-events per tour stop. Drags things out and impacts the rhythm, at least for this fan watching, much less the players. Of course Matchroom having 256 player fields does the same thing. But it is cool as a fan having the men and women both in one place.

I see Matchroom finally announced the dates of the FL Open today. About time.

Spin-to-Speed or Revolutions-per-Foot?

Your fault I am drug off topic! You made me remember the ladies in my mom's family. All of them could cook off of the same recipe and none taste remotely the same. All great though!

I saw a cookbook by a cajun lady. Almost worthless because every recipe ended "season to taste"!

I just got back to pool, accidentally! All of the math and physics is interesting but almost every shot in the real world needs some of that "season to taste!"

Aim Visualization Techniques

sure, attached is a diagram. It's still all based on parallel shift cp to cp alignment. Another method I used, I called the T joining method. Which utilizes the center ball parallel lines with the tangent line attached and you just visualize an intersecting line between the T joints.

The ideal is to do this in practice and get to where you can make every shot when you follow your preshot and aiming methods and once you've made enough balls in enough differing conditions, you can just visualize the entire shot and just know where to aim.
The tangent depiction is good for any shot. I set those in my mind with the edge of my hand or just a couple fingers.

The triple lines start generating an interference pattern. :ROFLMAO:

Max Eberle on people who play on barboxes "Pool players need to grow some balls"

Well now Max , open up your wallet and buy a 9' table for me then build a building to install it into with climate control and bathrooms as it's over 115 miles one way to the nearest 9' tables to play on , yes I prefer 9' tables but they're not to be found around here in the middle of Montana .

I feel instead of alienating bar table pool players why not do & say something positive to & for us unfortunate folks who don't readily have access to 9' tables for instance open up some pool halls across the country similar to what George Frank once did .
If that were to happen I'll bet in nothing flat you also would be selling off all those pool halls and install more casino's .

Aim Visualization Techniques

I'm thinking the "sections" are the overlapped edges, "cut" at the contact point between them? (y)

Right. This was one of my first attempts at CPG. The way I looked at it (and showed off to friends lol) was bisecting the OB with the pocket line and then paralleling that to the CB. That provided the contact points and shot direction/cut sections. In the shooting position the section line becomes vertical and very "distinctly" partitions the cut section.
