I did it solid 89-91, two weeks out two weeks at home, was not for me with two girls/wife/house payments, and costs of the road.
In my traveling yrs, I preferred to find a city I liked, get a job bartending join life rent a room and live.
Loved Louisiana so much, lived their twice, one of my times, got a job working on the Tug Boats.

Heck, we don't know who comes into the hall to play, and it is much less awkward walking out of a hall with someone's cash than it is their house. Regardless of how nice the person is (and you seem to be very nice.) it is just a bad feeling gambling in someone's house or a house made to be a gambling place like a few places in KY and Southern Indiana have become.
