I am whoofing at the whole country (or maybe the Midwest) and maybe it’s more of a friendly bark

Most of the 700+ players in AZ play each other cheap sets. I play $50 races to 7 (big table 10-ball) with guys like Joven Bustamante, Mitch Ellerman, Nick DeLeon, Bobby Emmons anytime I get the chance. And anyone traveling through town that wants to get a decent-sized bet down will be able to find a game.

Aaaaaaaaand, people play one pocket here in every pool room, every day. Not me, I don't care for it.
That sounds like pool heaven.

Sofia Mast "retiring?" The state of American pool

Sounds like Sofia Mast is making culinary school her #1 priority, come August. She "hopes" be be able to keep playing pool. She also has an excellent argument as being the #1 American-born woman player.

A couple months ago, I saw a post from her requesting donations/support during her streams. I know she has sponsorships. As well, culinary school graduates are notoriously poorly paid. If the (arguably) best female player born in the US can't make a reasonable living at this game, then there's no real hope for US women to be competitive.

You got that right
I understand you want to know who is coming into your house. It appears he is looking for more of a pool hall game as he cited 5-12 hours.

Heck, we don't know who comes into the hall to play, and it is much less awkward walking out of a hall with someone's cash than it is their house. Regardless of how nice the person is (and you seem to be very nice.) it is just a bad feeling gambling in someone's house or a house made to be a gambling place like a few places in KY and Southern Indiana have become.
