Welcome back Dave, if you're still hangin out. What a coincidence. I was just doing an inventory on all of my pool cues tonight, and seeing that I just turned 68, realized that I am no longer in need of 14 pool cues. Then I thought of my old Stompin Grounds, AZ, and decided to see if my old login still worked after all this time. All My Best.

Is the cue ball exit a reliable indicator if the split occurs on top of the balls?

I found the ultimate aid about fifty years ago. It has six pockets, tighter than any pool table. Far more theft proof than any of these gadgets I see. A snooker table turns the trick! If you want square pocket corners, I think a russian pyramid table has those.

No idea what they cost now but for under twenty bucks, hard to beat a laser level. Line up head rail and foot rail, a tiny chalk mark on each one Spots exactly inline to put the cue ball and another ball on and hit away. Move the dots on the line around as skills increase or if you are really a glutton for punishment, add another dot!

The laser level is handy for other things too. Even most wives won't argue when you put something on a beautimus line!
