Any help identifying this cue

You’re certainly correct, I am familiar with that whether true or false. I also wore a dust mask when sanding the forearm of Titlist cue during a refinish. The earlier model Brunswick cue (26 1/2) didn’t have those veneers, it was replaced by the Titlist in the 1940s.

Thanks for the information!
You're welcome. The dye industry is crazy, isn't it? For some time, the purple dye was unobtanium. Reminds me of what was it, red dye 9 or red dye 29, something like that? Unavailable for some time. Doesn't only go for dyes. About 1993, Rosewood was nowhere to be found. Available later. Then for some time, Ebony was short supply. Times are critical.

Take all of the weight out of your break cue

Is it nice? I considered an MIT Jump break to stick in my spare case (previously sold as Samsara X-breaker I believe). Can find them here for 100$ give or take. Three friends have this cue, and it's real good.

For now, a dedicated break has worked for me in game, and I trust the set-up I have.
It’s very nice, Mike’s work is the truth. He made me 2 shafts, one with his Anvil taper and one with his sledgehammer taper. Best break cue I ever had. Never had any kind of jump cue, much less a break jump. I prefer to kick, and haven’t used it to jump many balls, but it does it easily with either shaft although the Anvil taper shaft is the better breaker of the two for me.

Take all of the weight out of your break cue

There are many ways to make your cue work for YOU.
Agree

18.5 oz is what I have. Most hard breaks are between 17-21mph. I've tried various weights, super light is not my thing.
I have a feeling this was the stock weight of my cue. I generally aim to break below maximum to preserve control. Probably around similar speeds listed here. I think 16/17mph was a sweet spot when I was putting work into this a while ago. I'll go back and check the data I collected then. I can hit them hard, but beyond dicking around, I don't.

Don’t need to. Mike G made me an Anvil jump break @17.5 oz years ago

I have it, Do you?

Not only that, but you can play with another one, and it won't complain. You can watch tv, and leave the toilet seat up, and it won't complain. And, best thing, it doesn't take the remote away from you!
I lost control of the remote and the thermostat 20 years ago. They are a distant memory.

In the car, on a trip, I can listen to one Led Zep song, then it's an hour of Taylor Swift.

Before we were married she had to wash my bike before I would take her for a ride. Now? She has a custom tush cush for the back seat.

It's also missing the purple outer veneer. In all the years that Titlist's were made, the purple dye was available. There was a problem with it about 1990, unavailable. Probably caused cancer. It was brought back though. You can have a cuemaker do Titlist veneer colors today.

And you can let your buddy play with it...it won't go off and do that without you knowing.

If it gets ragged you can say it has patina, or get it refinished.

You can sell it and get a newer models.

And if you like, you can have as many as you want at once.
