most if not all of the MR events this year have been played on diamond tables. the predator events i believe are played on re-branded yalin tables.

Well late again and only part way but I recall when the pole vaulting equipment changed. The flex in the shaft is a huge factor. Cole's knowledge was freely dispensed as I drove him. He stated that 2 cues made by the same to the same specs would still feel totally different to him.
"I wouldn't be able to shoot with that cue now." Is what he said of the cue I bought from him. A Joss made to his specs kept on file as he often put the cue up as a last barrel.

I prefer Predator events, because the prevailing camera perspective is slightly further away from the table, such you can sometimes see all of the player as he gets down on the shot.

I think the matchroom perspective of being so close to the table or directly above it, zoomed in like a video game, doesn't allow the viewer to appreciate different (or similar) methods used by the best players in the world to get down on a pool shot.

I do realize this is a bit nit-picky, but that is just a testament to how good the matchroom events are. I can't stand the black balls.
