Humidity causes a wood shaft to flex more.

Humidity doesn't affect carbon shafts except to make them a bit sticky feeling.

its a different game. better ways to speed up play.

what would a bowling tournament do if a few bowlers just sat in their chairs for a long time or just studied the lanes for minutes before they rolled the ball. make it a game of 5 instead of ten frames. or only put up 5 pins.

or if golfers studied their shots for minutes each time. make it a nine hole. or play from the womens tees.

answer: the t.d. would punish them after a warning. and it would stop.

I am big on using a glove though, that's one of the new school habits I personally prefer.

Taiwanese players have slowly started changing their cue preferences, as have all the newer generation of players.

However, in the past they preferred stiff hitting cues with shafts that were between 13-14mm.

The Predator 314-2 FAT shaft was created for Taiwanese players and it was 13.2mm.

Southwests were/are their custom cues of preference.

That being said, the custom cues I see usually don't look more interesting than the higher end production cues from companies like Meucci, Joss, Jacoby, etc. I would still probably get one if I had the money, but I don't and likely won't for a long time.

I treated myself to one of the "budget" Meuccis and I love it, the ANW-1 in rainbow finish. My next reward to myself (maybe if/when I become an APA 6) will likely be one of the flashier Josses.

I love Joss, have about 30, all different time periods.

If your "Treating" yourself focus on a gold label from the 80's but if you have been really good get yourself a Block Letter from the 70's.

Trust me your getting a better playing cue and something that is borderline custom!
