WNT tables

Any videos? All this prep, and you’re not gonna let us see how you play the ghost on this table? 😂
Oh I will. I've still got a mess. Not that that's ever stopped me from videoing...lol I'm waiting for my tailor's chaulk so I can mark the spots and the break box. Should be here in the next couple of hours.

If you just wanna see me hit some balls I can post a video of me messing around on it.

Transaction Question - Appropriate response?

If it were me, I’d be pissed the guy spent the money already. I never spend the money I get on a cue sale before I know the person is happy with it, but that’s just me.

The partial refund thing is sticky since it’s hard for anyone to feel good about it. Cleaner to just send the cue back for a full refund. But again, the guy having already spent the money is a problem.

I do with agree with the poster above that there’s a certain point at which it’s no longer reasonable to ask for a refund, so it depends on the amount of time that has elapsed since the sale.

When it comes to choosing a shaft, Is deflection the only factor?

In fact, I'd say it's the only thing for typical shafts.

I don't think there are objective differences in how "well" they play, only in how well you play with them.

There is no such thing as a no deflection shaft because of the laws of physics, low deflection means there is some deflection and like every shaft ever made you will have to account for some deflection when the cueball is struck off center, I like that I have to account for less with my Becue shaft, but the thing I enjoy the most is it's super long taper and feedback I get with a CF shaft, some people would hate that but they don't have to play with my shaft I do, I agree with Lou, find what is comfortable for you, no insert pro player's name here is going to make you play like that player, I was able to take Becue's weight system, add 1 washer and nut and change the balance point of my cue to a more forward weighted cue, it's amazing moving a 1/4oz of weight about an inch and a half will affect your cue, the only person's opinion that matters when deciding on a new cue is your's, if you are not sure about what feels good to you see if friends or teammates will let you try their's, when you find one you like get the specs and start there.

Breaking ground on new backyard pool hall

Ordered my carpet today at Ward's furniture store in huntsville texas. Won't get it for two weeks but i guess I'll wait. 3300$ and change. Blueish gray color, shouldn't show dirt bad but i do have a vacuum! Lol. I did put a door knob lock on my front door today so all i need is my pool table! I owe a little over 1700$ for carpet and i think that's my final spending so I'll try to figure out my total cost soon. I ordered two swivel bar stools with arm rest for a little over a 1000$ probably will get two more but my first two stools are still almost two weeks away. Probably are on a slowboat from China!

Transaction Question - Appropriate response?

One problem is that it sounds like the seller has already spent the funds and does not have the means to offer a refund for at least a couple weeks.
It probably also depends on how long the buyer has had the cue in their possession. Typically, I believe 5–7 days is a reasonable amount of time for a buyer to inspect and evaluate a cue. Some sellers may even allow only 48–72 hours after delivery for the buyer to test the cue and decide whether they want to keep it or request a return or refund.

I don’t think it’s fair to blame a seller for spending the money from a sale if the buyer has kept the cue for more than seven days and only afterward discovers that the cue is not up to the stated specifications or has an issue.

For the sake of fairness to both parties, once a buyer receives an item, they should inspect it carefully and verify that everything matches the description and specifications provided by the seller.

As a seller, if my buyer has had the cue for more than seven days without bringing up an issue, I would consider the transaction completed and the funds available for me to use. Of course, if there was an undisclosed defect or intentional misrepresentation, that would be a different situation and should be handled accordingly.

New 14.1 personal best! (bittersweet)

Watch old Grady Matthews straight pool videos and learn about correct patterns. Don't even try to get a high run unless you feel focused. When you miss it is often due to lack of focus.

I broke 100 five times at home over about 4 months of trying. High run 168. Blew the opening shot in rack 13. Diamonized Anniversary with 4 5/8 pockets.
Very impressive!
