Rieper Cue??

I was kinda leaning that way.
Here's one of mine...
What's the prognosis?? Doc??
On closer inspection, that winding looks wrong for Cortland. Cleaning it could reveal a lot.

Since it is a conversion, and I don't see anything special indicating a major maker or historical value, I don't think there is anything wrong with cleaning it up or refinishing it to whatever extent you like. I wouldn't put a modern finish on it though, that would be tits on a bull.

Audience Sharking (Unintentional, but INSANE?)

Setting the scene:

The WPBA Soaring Eagle Masters, Pia Filler and Kristina Tkach are hill-hill in a race to 8. Loser will go out in 5/6th place and pocket $3,500. The winner will make a minimum of $4,500.

Tkach is looking to run out and is lining up the 6 ball into a corner facing three women. Admittedly, the shot and shape are not automatic.

The rest... the actions of the woman in a pink jacket, have to be seen to be believed. The chat lit up.

I should have the video set to the moment (1:50:10).

Help Identifying Early Gina Que

A little background: I work with an estate attorney, and this cue came from an estate. While I enjoy playing pool myself, the original owner was clearly the true enthusiast and collector.

This cue will eventually be sold as part of the estate, but before that happens I need to determine a fair market value and accurately represent what it is. Simply putting a number on it without understanding the cue could create problems for the estate and for me.

I’ve reached out to several people already, but most of the responses have been offers to buy it or questions about my asking price rather than information about the cue itself.

I’m hoping some of the Gina experts here can help me better understand its age, history, originality, and current market value. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Spots on Aramith Tournament balls

Any suggestions on how to prevent these spots from coming back? I’ve cleaned them with Armamith Restorer and ball cleaner, but they keep coming back. I have tried by hand and with a machine. The marks are cloudy white

- I only strike the cue ball with the cue tip (Taom green)
- Valley with new 860HR and new felt lined pocket liners. Ball track is lined with thin EVA foam. Had marks before lining tracks.

Can the marks be caused by collision with the other balls or friction burns on the cloth?

Please let me know if there is a better forum for this question
