Pro Pocket Size TOO Small for 9 Ball

To me pool halls definitely should not go to 4” pockets or even close. Those tables are playable on the WNT because (a) you have elite players playing; and (b) the balls and cloth are brand new. If you got Filler and Gorst to play on 4” pockets at your local pool hall with cloth with 6 months of play and dirty balls, the game would look like one pocket. I see some balls slide in on the WNT that wouldn’t go on the 4.5” Diamonds I play on with old cloth and balls.
I concur completely. My T shirt I have on is 15 years old and my balls are 78.

HOW PS-03GN + Predator Revo shaft not compatible?

I bought a HOW PS-03GN cue a while back, but never really got along with the Hyper-X shaft. I've been playing with a Prather cue equipped with a predator revo for a couple of years, so I figured I'd just replace the Hyper-X with a revo and Bob would be my fathers brother. Boy was I wrong. The damned thing doesn't even fit. Apparently radial isn't the same on all cues. The pin is too thick and too long for the shaft. What's the remedy?
Some older AzBers waking up here. Are you still playing actively?

Pro Pocket Size TOO Small for 9 Ball

No room owner will have Diamond bar tables with the pro cut 4 1/4 pockets for their regulars, who spend money on liquor and foodk.
Those patrons pay the rent and the last thing a room owner wants is player frustration, where no one can ever run more than two or 3 balls.
4'' pockets on a dirty or worn out table in humid conditions it's not pool.
That's why Bowling hasn't changed the lane size, or the PGA hasn't made the cup smaller.
I promise you if every bowler starts bowling 300 every other game, they'll make changes.

Pro Pocket Size TOO Small for 9 Ball

My club has two tables with 4" pockets and I can assure you that the pros that visit have no trouble making the game look effortless on those tables. It definitely does not look like one pocket. You're giving way too much credit to a measly 0.25" difference.

Buddy Hall talks "Deflection"

Yes and no. I get fitted etc…. I think the launch monitors and optimizing spin and launch has helped the pros a lot. And I remember the old days where guys would tweak their lifts and lies. I don’t think it matters as much for many players as they think. So yeah get fit…
Let me tell you a quick story...

I was fitted for a set of Mizuno Irons many years ago. At the time I was playing a Rifle steel shaft around 6.7 frequency. Specs were simple, standard lie & length, stated lofts, standard grip & the Rifle 6.7.

Clubs came in and I couldn't hit them for shit. Ball wouldn't get off the ground. I took them to my club builder for him to take a look. He told me to give them more time because they were new so on and so forth. I did not back down and left them with him for a diagnosis.

He gives me a call and says I found the problem - the shaft frequency is 8.0!! Now to put that in perspective my driver shaft at that time was a 7.7. So no wonder I couldn't hit the darn things!!

He rebuilt them for me, made sure the lofts were right & we went over the lie angles while test hitting shots. After that I was a happy camper.

So not only is it important to get fit, it is also very important to get what you ordered spec wise from that fitting.

It does matter - immensely.
