At the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Govan he said it was empty but everything was marked off at two metre distance and when he got attended to the first thing they asked was have you experienced any of the following symptoms , high temperature , coughing , sneezing etc in recently and we have to take a swab sample so they took a swab from his ear , tested it and said your clear for treatment .

sheer and utter madness that gets madder every day here in Scotland folks . Digest what I've typed in recently and I will type later , hopefully !

He made the mistake of taking off the plastic padding sling at the weekend and he said the pain is worse and he ran out of painkillers and somebody offered him Tramadol but he said no and if the pain gets worse he's going back to hospital to get it plaster casted . He bought the woman from work a bottle of gin for taking him to hospital and she gave him a packet of cigarettes as he only had two cigs left . I said Rab is that right that Glasgow buses are yellow taped off for two metre social distancing because I read that means the buses will be running at 10% capacity , I used to let those buses go and wait for a bus that wasn't taped off he said .

I said what hospital did you go to the one in Clydebank and he said no , it was the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Govan , was it busy I asked , no it was empty he said but I was lucky as the specialist was on duty but the first x-ray was inconclusive so they sent me for a second x-ray and said you've broken your upper left arm so he told them to put his arm in a sling , I said did you go to the chemist for painkillers , no , I had some in the house .

I said how did work go , did you get normal hours back , he said no and a week last Monday crossing the steep stairs at the flyover bridge he slipped and took a tumble so he got home and phone a woman from his work to say he wouldn't be in the next day as he fell and thought he broke his arm so she lives across the Clyde and came to collect him to take him to hospital .

When you get out of the golf course and through the woods you've two choices , wait until the traffic is clear at the Bouleyvard and jump the roadside barriers across two wide lanes or take the steep steps up to the flyover bridge and the dizzy heights across the Bouleyvard I jumped over the roadside barriers and Wee Rab takes the steep steps to the flyover bridge .

I met him last night for the first time for 5 or 6 weeks so I told him what's been happening and he was the first person to say to me , don't go through Dalmuir Park , cops on patrol on bikes and sneakily parked handing out fines if you had no reasonable excuse to be there . I told him how I found myself down that way trying to remember the route to the golf course for the first time in well over 30 odd years but I found it eventually and once there the three routes home , the steep path or under the white bridge or up to the Gully hole and then through the woods so Wee Rab said the path is too steep and under the white bridge is well overgrown and is like a jungle so he goes up towards the Gully hole and through the woods home .
