Pool Halls in Baton Rouge

I know, I wouldn't have believed it myself being from Nebraska. But they are in many of the lakes here, The lake I catch these from is at nearly 8000 ft. They grow large and are very clean, as far as I know I am the only one for a hundred miles that even try to catch them:grin:. I made the trap and modeled it after west coast crab rings. I can catch more then I wish to clean in under a hour with this trap. I use raw antelope or raw elk as a bait.

We used to toss out a crawfish trap in Steamboat Lake and fill up several big ice chests in a couple of hours.
Weird how well they do up there....

Ya'll are making me hungry again. Thanks.
Any place to get good cajun food in DFW??(HOPEFUL!)

Those are Crayfish!

I thought he was joking too, lol. I'll bet they don't taste the same though :)

Everybody knows that crayfish don't taste the same as crawfish!

I'll have to tell my friend in Grand Junction that somebody is eating the crawfish up there, I suspect Frank will give it a try.

When I looked into aquaculture a bit I was told that the type of soil was critical to the taste of the crawfish. I suspect that those do taste a bit different but I can't know until I taste some. Sounds like Cuebuddy is near one of the plateaus. The one near my friend's place has hundreds of little lakes up there.

You are referring to the Grand mesa, I believe it is the largest mesa in the world. There are some 300 lakes on the top. I live about 100 miles from there. I mentioned the crawdads I catch are very clean and I think they taste a little like rattle snake:grin::grin-square::grin: I drop them in some Old bay and they taste allot like crab from Maryland. I sometime just shell them and put the nuggets in pasta. Remember suck head eat tail:wink:.

Here is a link on the mesa by the way it is so flat on top you can put a one piece slate Diamond on it and don't need to even level it.
.....Jim's trying to keep this pool related:o
