Bk2 f!@$!?@*%

Sorry if I didn't explain clearly, it shattered violently at the joint. It had a stainless steel, uni-loc joint... It blew up right above the joint on the shaft side. By "blew up" I not only meant the amazingly loud noise it made when it happened... but the fact that it mushroomed out on all sides.
So you just need a new shaft?

just?

:crying::crying::crying:

It was my shaft, my player. Like saying you just need a new dog when your pet dies... Except I spent a hell of a lot more time with my shaft than anybody spends with their dog or cat. lol.

and even if I could go to the pound and pick up a new pet, it's not in the budget.

in mourning,

I didn't mean to minimize your pain. I was thinking it is better to only need a shaft then a whole cue.

The fact that you spend a hell of a lot of time with your shaft is TMI for sure. :D:D

Maybe someone on here can help you out with a replacement until you have room in your budget.

Yeah, but in this case, he's playing with his break cue. So, your suggestion still gets to be lambasted.

Note: I was not complaining about being lambasted, but noting the inconsistencies between one saying no damage will happen and the occurance of actual damage happenng.

My ferrule has gotten a hairline crack after a couple of months of breaking with my playing cue. Does that mean something was made poorly or is this normal? Obviously I'm not breaking with it for now :)

Stainless steel jointed BK2 shaft? I didn't think they made them that way?

Where are the pictures! ...
I'm interested to see what happened... You'd figure a break cue was made to hit balls super hard, thus implying that regular play is fine as well...

I broke the inside of the ferrule. Now it sounds like a broken baseball bat. I gave it to a friend and apparently there is some kind of pin that came loose. I just got rid of it and all my Predator merchandise, except for the the towel, I blacked out the logo :)

The butt side of the joint is stainless steel - the shaft side is phenolic.

Prolly cracked/broke the tenon.

Sorry I had league last night couldn't take pics. I'm going to take pics tonight and e-mail them to predator and hope to god they will stand by this thing. I don't know that they have any obligation to do so though. I have been a supporter of their products and have purchased 4 shafts to date.

Ah didn't notice that, very interesting! I'll have to take a look at mine when I get home. lol
In fact I have never seen a cue that has stainless steel on the shaft side. It's always on the butt side.

You should get yourself a BK1 (from when they were still made in North america) and it shouldn't be a problem again

If they did do anything it would be out of courtesy only. If they didn't I wouldn't blame them.
