Bartram vs Morris

Hey jam ask keith who he likes! And chris you played the 2 on the wire game before you played the head set in philly!

I'll do better than that. I'll have him post. He doesn't like to post on the forum very often, but I think he'll make an exception for Rodney. He likes Rodney a lot! :)

Stand by while I log out!

Hi, gamemaker. Well, let's see. It definitely matters what table they're playing on, number one. I used to match up that way all my life.

If they're playing on a tighter table, the spot sort of favors Chris because of the simple reason, those long rail shots get a little funny, and if it gets wet in there, like I've seen it in the past, the call 8 and the call 9 will be like getting the 5 and the 6. It would be almost like a jar table. It's harder to run out. You have to get on the right side of the balls, and you can't jaw nothing because it won't go.

If they play on a looser table, where Rodney can run more racks and make balls on the break, well, it sort of favors Rodney. The call-8 and call-9 won't be nothing. I used to do that for a living, giving people games like that. It sounds like a lot of weight, but it ain't really that much becuase you have nothing wild on the breaks, and it's all after the break. So, really, the spot don't mean jack diddley.

It will be interesting to see what pans out, but if I was to have to bet my money, I'd like to see what table they were playing on first.

I know Chris has a couple gears in him, but so does Rodney. I've sort of known Rodney all his life. I remember when he was in his diapers coming into Pistol Pete's and Bob's Billiards. I know all his routes.

I just think Rodney's got a couple more gears than Chris does. In a longer race, there's no doubt that I would have to take Rodney. I've faded Rodney's gears in the past, and they are a little scary.

Good luck to all. May the best man win. :)

I think Chris is getting the wild 8 instead of the call 8 and 9.

Seeing as so they changed the game to the just the 8 wild, I like Rodney's end. That call 8 and call 9 with those three balls on combinations and billiards can get real heavy, especially on some tough equipment.

Rodney will fare better with the wild 8! The one thing about the wild 8 is he's got it wild on the break. I don't know how many games that would come up out of a hundred, but I know Rodney's probably chomping at the bit to play this game. I don't blame him. Psychologically, it's a way better game. ;)

i only played in philly because someone wanted to back mw.
i told them i would not bet my money playing him on any table even.
and yes he pulled up even the other time.

true post.
it should be a good game.

I ran into Rodney last night at Bullshooters in Phoenix, and I'm sorry, but there is no way I'm betting against him.

I appreciate your game Chris, and the gusto to get out there and play these big matches. It's exciting for us little guys, but you definitely have your hands full.

I can't wait for the DVD's, hopefully it goes longer than 1 disc.

yes i know he is one of the best.
but i will try.

One more time:

Rodney Morris is an experienced professional, and his track record speaks for itself. He doesn't need a gang of forum bullies to recount his greatness. He doesn't attack other players' capabilities with nonsensical rants displaying a sense of insecurity. Rodney Morris is the real deal.

Big fish eat little fish, as Smorgie would say. Anybody who's seen Rodney play for money knows his strength. Tournaments are one thing, but when money is on the line, Rodney's best game comes forth.

I can't wait to read all about it! Go, Rodney, go!
:)

jam was i the underdog with larry price?
just want to know what you thought.

I don't know any of the particulars of the game.

I sure would like to see Dee Adkins back in pool. He is one Ohio player who has a whole lot of class and doesn't bad-mouth his peers. He's his own man, stands on his own two feet, and doesn't need a crew of forum bullies to be all that he can be. Dee Adkins is one of my favorite Ohio pool players. :)

Do you ever play other players even, or are you always seeking weight?

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure if you did play others even, as I had only seen you receiving a spot of some sort.

Let's get one thing straight right from here on in, Chris. My "boy," as you call him, will NEVER -- I repeat NEVER -- play you as long as he and I are together, spot or not spot. It has nothing to do with the "my dog's bigger than your dog" bark, and a game of stakes isn't the end-all/be-all in my world.

Because of our brief colloquy on this forum, I will never allow such an activity to happen on my watch. The damage is permanent, and the repercussions from it aren't over just yet. However, true colors of so-called "loyal supporters" in the end will prevail, leaving some disappointed and with very empty pockets. You can take that to the bank.

So go find yourself another 52-year-old who hasn't hit a ball in 2-1/2 years and play them even. My "boy" doesn't need action like you. There are plenty of gentleman gamblers out there that he can play -- spotting them, getting a spot, or dead even. When my "boy" was your age, he was the one giving out all the spots. I wonder what your game will be like when you're 52 years of age. Hopefully, some young whippersnapper won't treat you with any disrespect.

If you ever see Dee Adkins, please give him my best regards. What a gentleman player he is!

Hey jeanie you n keith shud come to vegas! Drinks are on me!

Hey, thanks for the very kind offer. I'm stuck like glue to my computer because of work in recent times. I'm happy to have a job, but it is getting quite tiresome. Maybe next time for sure. I would love to meet you. Anybody in Rodney's corner has got to be good people.

Rodney is already an American legendary pool figure. Here's Rodney's Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodney_Morris

Here's one of my favorite Rodney pictures, taken at the Mosconi Cup. There's a reason players like Rodney are often chosen for high-profile events. Look at the enthusiasm in this great photo! :)

I am having trouble reading your post. I'm not sure what "chich" is.

You and I have a difference of opinion as to who started what, and that's okay.

Most professional players don't bash senior players.

I look forward to reading all about it when Rodney barbecues you, Hawaiian style.

I am still having trouble understanding the words in your post.

At any rate, it will be a barbecue. Thank God, Rodney had the good sense to change it to the wild 8. :)
