These are just my picks. There is nothing like watching the players that can add a depth of beauty to how the balls roll.

10. Jim Rempe
9. Ralf Souquet
8. Efren Reyes
7. Jeff Carter
6. Corey Deuel
5. Keith McCready
4. Jeremy Jones
3. Steve Mizerak
2. Cowboy Jimmy Moore
1. Buddy Hall

I'm not sure where I would rank him, but I've always liked to watch Dennis Hatch.

There's just something about most lefties, that makes them look so smoothe and fluid.

top 10

Nice list Blackjack..

Except for me, I'd replace Corey Dueul with Mika Immonen and Cowboy Jimmy Moore (only because I've never seen him shoot) with Jean Balukas.

Yeah, I'd definitely have to put Buddy at the top of my list. I have to ask, what is it about Earl's stroke that kept him off your list, Blackjack?

I've always thought Breedlove had one of the sweetest stokes out there too.

Oh no, gotta disagree on replacing the Cowboy. Ask anybody that watched him play - that slip stroke put many a man to sleep. If it wasn't for Buddy Hall, Cowboy would be first on my list.

Here is some OLD footage of Cowboy Jimmy Moore

Earl wasn't left off my list for any particular reason - I have always admired the people that I put on list - especially players such as Jeremy - who IMO has a flawless delivery - and he ranks very high on my list.

It is a subjective topic, and after my top 3 I guess you could put all the players that have been mentioned. The prettiest one for me to watch was Buddy Hall.

Larry Nevels stroke is Hands Down the most powerful ever....
As far as smoothness and accuracy....Efren and Busta get my Vote...

I definitely agree with the #1 pick. Buddy Hall has the prettiest, most consistent stroke in pool. Bustamante should be on the list at #2. Keith McCready with that strange, sidearm stroke is not a pretty sight, but somehow very effective.

I've always thought that beginning players should watch some of the top female players rather than the guys. Seems their fundamentals might be stronger. Alison Fisher's stroke may not be 'sweet', but it sure doesn't look like much can go wrong. Same with a handful of other ladies.

While everyone on your top ten list has a very sweet looking stroke, I like your number one pick and think his stroke looks the smoothest of them all.

In no particular order.

Mike Siegel
Efren
Earl S.
Jim Rempe
Bustamonte
Buddy Hall

and after watching Dennis Orcullo the other night. I would add him to the list.
Also a player I used to watch locally, that had an unusually smooth stroke was Ralph Curry, I wonder what ever happened to him?

There are so many

For those of you One Pocket players:
1: Ronnie Allen
2: Ed Kelly

Got to see all these players in that 1968 World 14-1 Tournament in NY City when I was a kid.
I will never forget it. (except; Mosconi & Allen but did have lunch with Mosconi)

I saw Buddy Hall have an 88 degree cut on a ball on the short rail..He couldnt go up n down due to the interferring balls. Somehow he made the cut and held the CB around the 2nd diamond on the long rail-

The shot broke about thirty laws of physics. It was practrically supernatural. Im sure "you had to be there" and i was and i still dont believe it.

I am having a hard time choosing between Corey Deuel, Roberto Gomez, Efren Reyes and Jasmin Ouschan as # 1 on my list, but they all belong there. If I had to choose I think I would end up with Corey Deuel as the sweetest stroke.

I loved watching Shane's stroke during his match against another one on my list, Bustamante, at the DCC.

Ralf Souquet most certainly belong there too, and I admire Oliver Ortmann's stroke.

Don't forget the powerful stroke of Chia Ching Wu, perhaps the best player in the world.

Won't rank any of them, but it is a joy to watch all these players in action.
