Finally got my Riley Arostricat Steel Block Tournment Table set up(after 18 months), light is installed, then the A/C broke so it was around 84 in the snooker room for another week, I felt like I was never going to play on it.
finally got the AC fixed, now there it is the most beatiful sea of green nap cloth I have ever layied my eyes on. I played snooker in the late 809's my best break was 53 or 56 I cant remember, using 2 1/8" balls, now I'm using 2 1/16" balls (BIG DIFFERENCE)
So in the last 20 years I lost my feel for the game, 100%. I think I potted 6 balls in a row in the 2 hours I played on it-that was my best. Thing is my pool game is spot on but WOW those tiny balls sure are different. I'm sure with proper coaching and time I will get back into the 40's soon. My goal is a 80 Break, I have tournment cut pockets, not club size so it will take a but of time.
I really wish snooker was the game here in America, but its just not economically viable, the tables take up to much space and the cost of operating a room just dosent make sence,
Its amazing how different the games are, when I started playing pool I started snooker at the same time so playing both wasnt that different, now its a world apart, as my pool game might be the best its been and snooker the worst its been, I played in Thailand for 3 hours about 8 years ago, towards the end of the session I got the feeling back.
I'm beyond blessed to have such a table, it rolls good, there is a couple spots that roll off .2" here and there but well within a good standard.
i will let everyone know when I have a 40 break, remember 80 is the one year goal.
best
