Mystery Cue

unidentified

Looks like an old Meucci all day long. I remember a thread awhile back about Bob not signing his cues in the beginning when him and Helmstetter seperated. Or something along those lines. Kind of looks like a Mali too.

I definitely vote MEUUUUUUCI !!! The butt cap (with the logo) might have been replaced.

The ferrule is shorter than an inch, the taper on the shaft is not very Meucci-ish and the wrap is not painted over. But I can see y'alls logic.

I have a cue I cannot identify, I only know the cue is over 20 years old since I got it from the fellow who owned it that long.
Anybody have any input or ideas????

It is an Asian Import cue that was made in the 1980's. These cues were made as Meucci knock off cues, but the quality was much worst than what Meucci was making at the time.

The Value of these cues is very low and there is no collector interest.

Take Care

I totally agree, I was just about to post this myself.

You are right on target, if you look at the rings you can see how poorly they were made if not painted on. In addition if you look where the bumper was removed, you can see that a screw held it on, and Meucci used a push in style bumper since the very beginning.

I have seen a number of different models of Meucci Knock off cues that were Asian imports that date to this same time frame. One of the models I remember was the Road Agent model that Meucci made, the import cue looked very similar to the original except that the entire design was painted on.

No Way

No way this is a Meucci in my opinion. Looks like a Taiwan copy, at best. Retailed for probably $29.95.

Likely better quality than what Meucci makes now. ;)
