Ok now I have a quick question about Simonis 860 Cloth that I have on my table , now I've said this before in other threads in this section that the cloth on my table wasn't streched to is fullest but theres my question I've got tourny Blue and it seem to be that it's not as bright as I've seen on other tables with the same cloth .? So what's up with that .

Could be a dyeing problem. What kind of lighting do you have on your table? Sometimes lighting will make it appear to be darker than others. I havent never had a problem with the 860 tournament blue being diferent in colors.

I've got 2 4ft lights with 4 bulbs each and the color of the light is Cool white .

If it's from the old original cloth when it first came out it has no uv inhibitor in the cloth so all lights fade it fast. I had a customer in 5 months the cloth turned like a pewter color He had a diamond light on for 12+ hrs a day some times 20 he said. Simmonis has already addressed the problem and all cloth they make know has the uv inhibitor in the cloth. I forgot to ask if this is why they went to the lazer etched cloth logo. The older is the cloth with the white logo like paint.

Couple of ideas for you to check.

1) As others stated could be old 860 (non uv).
2) maybe incorrect cloth type delivered/installed. Is there a color difference between 860 and 860HR?
3)maybe incorrect cloth color? (Electric blue, Tournament blue, Cadet blue)

When you got the cloth isn't as important as when the seller bought the cloth originally. There was a dye change in the tour blue 860 because of fading under light. In some cases the cloth turns very light blue, almost a light sky blue, in other cases it turns like pewter Grey like. Sun like makes it turn real dark blue, so it all depends on what kind of like has been on the table. So, find out when the seller bought the cloth first, then you'll know for sure. The UV protected tour blue cloth came out I think Mar of last year, so that means there's still quit a bit of non UV tour blue cloth out there.

I have seen the 860 blue fade everywhere. I don't think it holds it color very long at all. Thats the very reason I won't use it. And there is probably no way of knowing if the cloth being installed on a table is the newest with UV stabiliziers.

Hey Glen I got my Cloth From Ozone Billiards , I'll have to check with them this week on that and I'll let you know , But I figured I'd ask why it didn't seem so bright because It seems like any of the tables you have install the cloth is always bright like the sky as you put it , but I do have to get new cloth soon because of all the ball burn marks everywhere . If you buy the 860 from Diamond, you're going to get the UV tour blue;)

I wonder if Chalk Off has eny detrimental effect on the appearance of the cloth.
