Is this a Black Boar

he tried to sell this cue for a large amount of coin here many many times, insisting that it was all blackboar.

Hopefully this just goes away. Somebody needs to just play with this cue and never ever ever try to sell it.

tap tap

beware non-boar shafts though.
the one pictured is definitely not Tony's.

it looks like someone put a VW emblem on a porsche.

B.B. w/Phillippi inlays

Is this cue dun by Tony all the way?
I thought the inlays did not look like Black Boar inlays?
Butch Parsons from Waldorf MD. owned this cue and had Rick put the inlays in the cue thinking that he would get more money for a cue if it had inlays. He used to have Rick do this all the time to old Joss cues etc. Butch sold the cue to a road player Dennis Jenkins. He needed money but still needed a cue to play with,so i gave him a Sly 4-point player and $500. Then i had Leon Sly post it on AZ for sale. Well the rest is history.. The cue plays great as Tony's 6-pointers do. Tony was offered in person the oportunity to remove and replace inlays with his slightly larger and make two shafts for what ever it would cost. He either was too busy or just did not want to touch it after another cuemaker screwed with it. I don't blame him but we know the rest of the story. Parismango, Barkcinnamon, Loniwheels. Bob C.

i remember this cue. i used to play with butch and dennis at last call a while back. i also remember when dennis got rid of it. he didnt even know what that sly was. he told me he traded the cue plus cash and didnt know what kind of cue it was. i informed him it was a sly. i asked him why he got rid of the bb and he said he needed the money. he also told me that the sly hit tons better than the bb ever did. leon makes a great hitting cue. small world.

on the right side of auction page, just above auction number, there's a REPORT ITEM link, open that and the report category will be COPYRIGHT and TRADEMARK, select and the REASON for REPORT counterfiet item, 3rd and final box DETAILED REASON is Counterfiet.

He's representing the cue as a Boar, which it is. Neither of us is the copyright holder, or an eBay VERO member. Regardless, the issue of whether having the cue altered precludes ever calling it a Black Boar again would really be a matter for the courts and eBay wouldn't get involved in making a call like that without paperwork from a court. The issue of what the alteration does to the value of the cue has been discussed here in my community, and really that's as far as my concern goes

Thanks

Kevin

I'm sure it got yanked for the ivory mention. I don't throw stones at that particular glass house.

Thanks again
