Blue Diamond is the BEST chalk around. I will see about doing a video showing the difference when it is applied.
I bought 3 boxes in Philly at SBE. I am still on my first box.
The amount of chalk needed is so much less with BD.
Here is what I do to prove that BD is better than Masters:
Take my cue tip and wipe all of the chalk I can get off of it with a napkin. I will then take the Masters and apply it to the tip. I will continue until I get coverage as best I can. It takes a lot of wipes to get decent coverage. Everytime I swipe it with Masters, it rubs off some of the chalk where it was once covered. That makes me have to apply more chalk again.
I wipe my tip clean again. Then I wipe the tip with BD. The single wipe with BD is more than I EVER could get with Masters.
That in and of itself proves the advantage that BD gives you over Masters.
I then go another step further. I let them chalk up as much as they think is needed to get coverage with Master. I don't apply anymore BD. We then shoot common shots without chalking again, nothing extreme though. I can shoot and shoot and shoot as long as I want to. The guy using Masters will be lucky to get 5 or 6 shots before he miscues.
With BD I could shoot a game or two and not have to chalk at all.
Try that with Masters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want to continue using the crappy Masters, go ahead.
I will even let you use sandpaper or a tip tool to rough your tip up before using the Masters and I will still have better coverage on my tip and it will last longer.
I can apply BD to a shined up tip and it will still cover the tip better than Masters. Masters will not cover a shined up tip worth a crap.
