Last night I was thinking about my game how I could get better. I realized one thing that makes all the difference in the world. This may be obvious to some but my neurons started cooperating with me last night.
DEVELOP GOALS.
1. Determine why you are playing pool.
2. What do you want to achieve playing pool?
3. This is the toughest, what is your true skill level? I figure mine to be a B maybe B+ with good and bad days mixed in.
4. What skill level do you want to be?
5. Do you have the time/motivation to hit that skill level?
I decided to go back to square one and bust my a$$ on mother drills and some of Joe Tucker's drills. I am in the process of redefining my future in billiards and what it means to me. Hopefully, if I stay honest, all will work out to the best.
Of course, this is just my opinion.
