I am pleased to announce that www.BilliardReview.net is up and running. I have been wanting to open a Billiard Review website for a long time and finally took the plunge. I have sent out over 200 emails to companies about getting reviews of their products to put up on the site. I intend to make Billiard Review a place where consumers go to get unbiased reviews of various Billiard Products. No longer will someone have to ask for a review of "X" cue.

I am now working on reviews of TheActionReport DVDs & Shirts along with the International Playing Ability Test (IPAT) endorsed by Thorsten Hohmann. More reviews of cues, shafts, instructionals, etc will be added each week.

If you produce any kind of billiard product and wish to extend your advertising please email me at info @ billiardreview.net or send me a private message.

Good idea!

Nice looking site so far!

Are you planning on encouraging/accepting reviews from your visitors? I'd bet you'd get a lot of responses. We all have things we  and/or :( enough to review for our friends.

Good luck with the site.

Charlie

P. S.: Are you going to be at the 10-Ball Tournament? 9-Ball? I'm not going to the 10-ball; I'm going to Fargo to take a refresher course with Randy G. Hope to see you soon!

Yup there will be a team of reviewers putting up a wide range of reviews.

I will be at both 10ball and 9ball. I could use a refresher course!

Good luck with the site, Tanner. On your site, make sure you give something back (at least a plug) to AZB, as you have used their site as a means of obtaining free advertsiting for your site.

Cue Makers

Are you also going to do reviews on Custom Cue Makers? Something along the lines of including their price ranges, wait times, and customer service.

Good luck with the site it sounds like a good idea.

Yea I sent out about 150 emails to custom cue makers, just waiting to hear responses. If you know a custom cue maker give them my information, I would love to include everyone's cues.

I just went there and 'TrendProtect' noted that there was something suspicious about your site.

TrendProtect is a free downloadable product put out by Trend Micro. You might be able to ask them why your site is listed as suspicious. Maybe it was hacked. One thing for sure - I ain't going there until this problem is resolved.

Very good point, and one that other readers should take note of. Whenever an antivirus/anti-malware company marks a website as "suspicious," it's for good reason. E.g. either the site itself was hacked and is sporting malware that attacks browsers connecting to it, or there's something wrong with the HTML code itself, or maybe even the DNS domain the site is residing at, went through the hands (was "squatted by" or sold through) a known malware entity.

TannerPruess, if you're reading this, you need to get this situation resolved with Trend Micro and the other antivirus/anti-malware companies. Also, I notice that sjm's suggestion to give something back to AZBilliards (e.g. a plug at the very least) to compensate for the free advertising you exploited, went unanswered.

I am unsure why the program would mark it as suspicious. I will figure that out with the company and email yahoo.

Also, sjm's comment did not go unnoticed. AzB is an invaluable tool for advertising and everyone knows this. I am waiting to here from Mike Howerton via email what he thinks about the site and hopefully we can both help each other advertise.

AzB is the best!
