I know this isn't the cue review section but after all of the "are Southwest's worth the money?" threads that I've seen over the years I felt like commenting...
So I just acquired a Southwest in a trade with Doug (DWBOD) and I couldn't be happier.

I've been infatuated with these cues since I found out what a custom cue was. And as soon as I realized there was such a thing as a Southwest I've been working my way up to one. There was something about the look and the sound of their name that just captured my imagination. Anyway... it arrived today, and all I can say is :
HOLY COW!!
Anyone that says Southwest cues are overrated, over hyped, or priced too high is freaking CRAZY
I've owned or tried out many quality cues, and most were touted as players cues, but NOTHING can compare to this thing. I tried to be as subjective as possible and let the cue do the talking when I tried it out today. It was more than I could have expected and I'm COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY!
The cue is what I would have called "a little heavy", close to 20oz, but it feels lively and incredibly well balanced. It has a distinct sound that resonates all the way through the cue. I would describe it as clean and transparent. I could not stop smiling the whole time I hit balls. This thing just seethes confidence and I hope it will translate to better play by me. I know all of the Indian and the arrow analogies, which for the most part I DO NOT agree with. Sure a cue is just the tool but if you feel better and more confident using it, your bound to play better IMO
I have NO DOUBT, there really is something to these cues and that the wait, price, and hype are well deserved.
Thanks to Doug for the hook up
